"location stonefurt, the city was formed from burgsteinfurt and borghorst. the old town of burgsteinfurt is very attractive. the most important monument is castle stonefurt, naturally surrounded by water. the caffe restaurant svan with beer garden in front and the swan over the door is small, but a very beautiful red brickwork building. inside it is divided into two etagens. a rich and a gallery. the tables and the respective seats are mixed with various epoches. on the walls in a friendly yellow hanging the most diverse paintings. the deck consists of dark wood beams and lights gives a large, round, powerful light. derke is small and an old bookboard serves as a vitrine for the glasses and bottles. remarkable deco is a black sunshade from the roco period. the fauna, the real symbol of the house, is hidden next to the theke. the ladies of the service have everything in sight and we can order without significant waiting time. eating the card is manageable. mostly pizza and carving. we chose the scnitzel toskana (11,90 € from the pork back with tomato slices and mozzarella overbaked, pommes frites and salat insert. the lunch dish putenschnitzel with basilikumgnocchi on cream (9,90 € . the panade of the two carvings is nicely thin and the black is good in taste. the ruined tomatoes are bite-resistant and taste wonderful. the Mozza-Rella cheese baked above is harmonious. the addition salad is rather fade and brav and would have worn a little more pepp. in the midday dish were cutenschnitzel sharp, but a little too long and the gnocchi wmtl. a last dish. but the price-performance ratio was o.k and the amount opulent. the degree of saturation is achieved in any case and all this is done beautifully"

"The Niedermühle in Burgsteinfurt was mentioned in 1352 as a “new mill”. However, it must have existed before, as in 1347 the legal business of the city houses two Miller as citizens. In the context of the medieval city fortification with city wall, water trenches and spheres it was an important building. The Niedermühle The name “Niedermühle” is mentioned for the first time in 1475. In the night of 16. July 1697 the mill Schutt and ash burned like an inscription on the eastern mill wall. From this and from another side of the road we also know that Count Ernst led to Bentheim and Steinfurt to induce the immediate reconstruction of the mill, which was already on the 29th. The same year was open to the public again. This year the main building was preserved. Franz Rolinck has been practicing the mill since the 1890s and forwards it to the underage. She took since the middle of 19. In 1909, the old dam was swept away from a flood and a new one was built. Cereals were continuously ground in this mill until 1957, and after the closure of many mills the low mill gradually fell. In 1974 a private man bought the mill to restore it. The connection to the home association Burgsteinfurt was the basis for a secure financing of complex renovation work. The powerful water wheel has been upgraded. A meal is completely installed and fully functional. On 27 and 28 April 1996, the Niedermühle in the Mühlenstraße was solemnly handed over to its old and new fate. The rooms of the mill are today used for local events and regular meetings of the home association. Today you can return very well. As the current owners are known to me, I can only recommend a visit to everyone in the castle mill. Thumb high and full star number."
