"the elveden inn is a rustic village pub with a great atmosphere. the workers were attentive and if they realized that it was our high-time anniversary, would no longer have been happy. we were offered a free drink to go with our meal that was a surprise but very welcome. we had delicious food, both our appetizers and the main dishes were presented in a contemporary fashion and beautiful. when it came to dessert, we were offered a cooking specialist of a tasting as it was our jubilee that we accepted gratefully. we were not disappointed, it was delicious and beautiful. during the meal the social distancing was observed and all the workers were attentive and helpful. would definitely recommend this place."

"I ordered takeout including prawn balls, prawn toast, and king prawn rice. Everything was well-prepared, although the sweet and sour sauce had a bit too much vinegar for my taste. The delivery was incredibly quick and the phone service was excellent. I will definitely order from here again!"

"The Sunday roast was enjoyable, but I really missed having roasted parsnips, and the Yorkshire pudding was a bit overdone. The bratkartoffeln could be improved by serving smaller pieces, as that would allow for a crispy exterior while keeping the insides tender. The current size makes them resemble large baked potatoes rather than the crispy bites I prefer. While it's not traditional, I don't think mashed potatoes are needed. I hope my feedback is taken as constructive criticism. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I'm looking forward to trying something else from the menu soon."

"*First Order*: What delicious food! It was delivered right away! I ordered chili garlic chicken, naan, chips, and crispy poppadoms to drink. This was the best dish I've had in a long time – there was plenty of chicken, which was tender and cut into bite-size pieces. The sauce was flavorful, and the naan and chips were perfect for dipping. Everything was nice and hot, making this a fantastic first experience with a delivery from this restaurant. I will definitely return for a dine-in experience to enjoy more great dishes. I give it a five-star chili rating!"

"We dropped in yesterday afternoon for a cup of tea and cake. We arrived at 3.20pm. On entering we were told that they were they could not serve us as they needed to clear up and leave at 4pm. We left but noticed a sign in the window that said they served tea and cake until 3.30pm. We went back in and mentioned that the sign said they served until 3.30 and it was only just past 3.20 at this point. The person went back into the kitchen and someone else came out and made a big deal about allowing us to be the last one of the day. Again the point was made that we only wanted a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Again the staff blamed the management saying they had to leave by 4pm. The place was not busy and I can see why if this in the attitude of staff. The cake was lovely and tea was good but the whole experience was ruined by the appalling customer service. We wouldn’t recommend I’m afraid."
