"We found this place walking back from the Natural History Museum on the way to the lake. It was open late afternoon when many other places are closed. Wife and I shared a fantastic seafood risotto and the kids had spaghettis ali olio (2 dishes...each).... maybe we were all hungry but all the plates were empty. The waitress recommended a very nice bottle of wine. We skipped desert because we were so full. The ambience is very Italian.... little bit disorganized, gregarious staff, but a nice buzz. We would definitely visit again and stay for desert next time. The food is genuinely Italian, authentic and simple and well prepared. Overall excellent value for money."

"This was a tough one to mark. The food was delicious, the wine too but my gosh the attitude of the manager was a downer. We arrived on time for our booking, menus were given to us but then the staff disappeared. It was a good 20 mins before the manager popped by our table. When we told him politely, "we have been waiting a while, may we please order", his response (with an know-it all attitude) was "oh, let me tell you something about restaurants, when you've your menu open it means you haven't chosen your food". The cheek of this man seeing that only one of the four had it open (we had time to kill and re-read the menu many times in between conversations!!!). We pointed out to him that no staff had even passed by to check or anything despite us trying to get their attention. No staff was in the vicinity to see whether the menu was open or closed. He brushed it off as a mistake on our part and we'll know better for next time (seriously!?!). For me this put a damper on the start of the evening. Really that condescending attitude should be checked at the door and not imposed on clients.Credit where credit is due...the food was delicious. Really the starters were great, the main dish also. Though it took time, the staff (excluding manager, sorry!) in the end were present and pleasant in the end.Would I go back? TBD!"

"ESPAÑOL: Localizado en la Place du Bourg-de-Four, en el Casco Antiguo de la ciudad y justo detrás de la Catedral de St Pierre, nos encontraremos con los toldos amarillos de Chez Ma Cousine (traducido: La casa de mi prima . Es un restaurante pequeño pero acogedor, con excelentes platos combinados con pollo. Un buen menú por sólo 15CHF, ¿en pleno centro de la 3ª ciudad más cara del mundo? Not bad!! También te lo preparan para llevar . Cuando está muy lleno, no dejan entrar con carritos de bebé, pero siempre que hace buen tiempo, tienen la terraza de fuera abierta. When it 's crowded, they don 't allow strollers; but if the weather is nice, they open the terrace outside. So I recommend lunch or dinner there (since even McDonald 's is -more- expensive ... if you 're visiting the Cathedral or even the Russian Church -which is also close, going up to Rue des Chaudronniers from the Place. "Very accommodating, modern bar. If you are in Genéve and want a lively, yet peaceful retreat with fantastic vistas across the Lake and the city, this is the place to be. A photograph cannot compare to the real thing. Our drinks were made perfectly, they were fresh tasting, and the high class liquor made great defense against the March evening breeze sweeping across the lake. We visited in the early spring of 2023, and I remember every taste, scent, sound and sensation I experienced sitting atop the city surrounded by mountains. You must visit. Thank you to all the team at the bar, that made our visit to Rooftop42 one that we will not forget!"

"A friend introduced us to La Belotti this afternoon, and what a pleasant discovery! The atmosphere is magnificent, the view of the lake so soothing. The waiter is attentive but discreet, he brought us water and bread even before we needed to ask for more because what we had on the table was running out. We even had a coloring page for our daughter without even asking, which allowed her to wait, and us to have a pleasant meal. The perch fillets come from Leman only. We are very motivated to return there."

"I arrived on Wednesday at 21:10 pm. Windows covered with a red curtains. Second door covered with a dark black curtain(like a night club . Not really welcoming restaurant. It’s should be an all you can eat buffet restaurant(22 CHF per person 23 different dishes . I was so excited. When I arrived I saw the buffet was closed and the waitress told me only a la carte! Ok! Let’s do it! One sweet corn soup (7 CHF 7 € or only one scoop tiny portion inside the tiny Chinese mug! I ordered chicken with black bean sauce (22 CHF and plain rice extra 3 CHF (rice in the same tiny mug like the soup . Arrived a King Prawns with black bean sauce with a tiny rice. (With some extra hair inside my dish Final bill: 40 CHF I ask the Chinese Guy why the buffet are not open today and he said because “not enough customers”. Oh really ???with a covered windows what do you expect? So I paid extra 18 CHF and I’m still hungry a lot. (I wasn’t the luckiest person today I have to pay the price Food quality Chinase Take Away Shop in UK (a big difference in UK Bigger portions less price Be careful and don’t let them to steal your money!!! "Adorable Restaurant! Customer service was excellent, the Portuguese ladies were so welcoming, smiling and chatting, great example how to welcome a customer. The restaurant is very sweet, they have tables outside a charming little street, even inside is very nice and warm. The fondue was delicious and very well served! I would definitely be back and I would really recommend it."

"This restaurant,located perhaps 30-40 minutes from downtown Geneva, is more favored by locals than by tourists. In good weather, you will want to sit on the outdoor terrace. Reservations are recommended. It took us two tries to get in. The town of Veyrier is located...near the base of Saleve and its teleferique, should you want to build up an appetite hiking about on top, before dining. The chef grills your selection to order over a large barbecue on the terrace. In addition to meats, there are a few fresh local fish entrees and salad entrees. Of course, there is a commendable list of good, local wines which you may sample by the glass (a deci) or by the bottle. Do leave room for the apricot tart, if it is offered. Or find someone for sharing it. The apricots taste as though they have just been picked. This is not a fast food restaurant. One comes here for several hours, to enjoy the food and the conversation. For distraction, there is a pétanques court that adjoins the terrace."

"Siamo andati in famiglia all'ora di pranzo dopo un giro in bici. La qualità del cibo davvero ottima. Il basilico sulla mia insalata caprese è stato colto dalla pianta sulla terrazza e siai pomodori che la mozzarella erano di buona qualità (per un ristorante svizzero). L'hamburger e patatine per i bambini erano ottimi, cosi' come il roast-beef e il vitello tonnato. Abbiamo mangiato sulla terrazza. Il posto è molto semplice ma accogliente. L'interno deve essere molto carino e caloroso in inverno. Servizio molto cordiale. Rapporto qualità-prezzo buono (in 4 abbiamo speso 125 con un piatto principale, dolce e due bicchieri di prosecco)"

"My review concerns dinner and drinks. Food and drinks are good and reasonably priced, but the four times I have been here, the service is sooo lousy!!! Take your time because the waitresses for sure take theirs! You get the menu, 30 mins later she will come back. All four times service has been sooo slow and poor...i keep on going because I like the place but improve the service!!"

"First place I have been to where you cannot share a meal, in this case a pizza! As their pizzas are huge, we wanted to share pizzas which was not allowed according to service staff instead the the waiter suggested to choose a small one (without mentioning it would be the exact same price). When we we ordered the bill, we complained asked why the pizza would be the same price and this should have been mentioned but they just did not care at all! Super bad service, unfriendly and although the pizza is great in terms of taste, it is not worth the 25 CHF you pay."

"Little choice and very expensive. The meal was good but the matchstick potatoes were overcooked and there were bones in the perch fillets. The height of it: a hair in the chocolate mousse and they pick up the spoon that fell on the ground to give it to us! But hey, they directly agreed to change it."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. We recommend it here very much. We received a warm and helpful reception on arrival and the team was still helpful during our stay. We had a problem with their Wi-Fi and the reception team could not have been more helpful. As soon as we joined, it was powerful and did not fail. The location is wonderful. It is located right in front of the lake with magnificent views. Wildlife (especially birds) is abundant and we slept in every morning and woke up to the pleasant calls and chirping of birds and frogs (I expect they were frogs). We are in the south of France as I write, but I remember this beautiful place. In addition to this, the system is clean; the toilet and shower facilities are clean and offer soap and toilet paper in ample quantities, which I also like to remember. A free bus pass allows access throughout Geneva and the bus stop is just a short walk from the campsite. If we go back to Geneva, we will definitely come back. We had a somewhat more expensive place in front of the lake that we would book again, but warn that it is also the muddy place when it was heavily rained, which was a little problematic for us campers. I would still do it again. Thank you for helping to create wonderful memories."

"Chez Fouad is my favorite Lebanese restaurant because of the delicious Middle Eastern style food, romantic ambiance, and quiet and very efficient service. On our special day, we couldn’t have a better place to celebrate! and It was memorable! The event went smoothly thanks to...the great attention of the staff to every single detail. The food was amazing and service was just perfect! The Chef was around to welcome our guests; the staff paid attention to every single detail and kept an eye on our guests; they ensured that all were very well served. Although the event was long, they served with genuine enthusiasm. We had a full traditional meal of cold and hot mezzes, followed grills and the delicious Lebanese deserts at the end. All accompanied by one of the tastiest Lebanese wines. At the end, an Arak that suited the digestion after a well-served meal. All I can say is that if you plan to do an event and want your guests to be happy, Chez Fouad is the place!"

"Having cycled past Café des Amis many times, I expected the standard 'french ' fare of steak and chips and average wine or beer. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that this cute countryside restaurant standards head and shoulders above the usual local cuisine, with...carefully put together, tasty and perfectly cooked meals. We had the set menu and each little detail was exquisitely executed, from the tapenade with the goats cheese salad to the sauce on the steak. The restaurant also offers a wide range of beers. The service was excellent, friendly, casual and quick. A great place to take visitors to the area or for a romantic lunch or dinner. We 'll be going back soon. By the way you can easily walk to Choulex (where the café is) from Geneva through the beautiful countryside, past fields of sun flowers and majestic old mansions. Takes about an hour from Eaux-Vives."

"Gegen 17 Uhr ging ich in dieses Restaurant und wählte eine der japanischen gebratenen Nudeln aus dem Essen wärmer, ich hatte ein ernstes Problem um 9 Uhr. Ich hatte mindestens 20 mal bis 3 Uhr morgens erbrochen, ich bin mir nicht sicher, welches Problem es war, das war meine erste Mahlzeit während des Tages, ich hatte nur 2 Kaffee vor diesen Nudeln.Neulich bin ich in dieses Restaurant zurückgekehrt und habe den Mädchen gesagt, dass ich mich letzte Nacht wirklich krank gefühlt habe, da ich weiß, dass ihre Nudeln morgens gemacht und verpackt wurden und immer noch um 17 Uhr verkauft wird. Ich bin erstaunt, dass das Essen den ganzen Tag gehalten wurde.Vielleicht war ich der Pechvogel, normalerweise habe ich kein Problem mit Essen, das war das erste Mal in den letzten 30 Jahren, dass ich so ernsthaft erbrochen habe."

"Great for meat eaters! Rodizio style, all you can eat. The people that were bringing the meat were all Brazilian, nice atmosphere from them. Drinks and wine were also great. I am only visiting Geneva and I wish I had a restaurant like this close to home in Zurich."

"Malheureusement les sushis ne sont plus vraiment très bons. Le poisson est ok mais le riz est un désastre. Gluant collant et une masse dans l'estomac. Le riz du sushi doit être aérien et fondre dans la bouche. On est très très loin du compte. C'est très dommage. C'est le sushi en grande distribution. J'y suis allée pour me dépanner vite fait mais très déçue. En meme temps j'ai connu l'excellence dans ce domaine donc..Je ne peux plus le recommander et étant tout à fait honnête."
