"We had dinner here our first night in Verona, which was also our first night in Italy, so we were really jet lagged. We thought it opened at 5:00, and we got there about 5:50, super early for Italy. The door was open but no one was there except the chef, who turned out to be the owner. He said it didn 't open until 7:00! But he took us anyway, and he was absolutely the most charming man EVER. So sweet, so accommodating, so kind. He told us the story of his restaurant and that he 's the fourth generation to run a restaurant there. We ordered excellent wine by the glass, including amarone, the double fermented local speciality. Then we had pumpkin soup, and it was the most delicious we 'd ever had, really special, with a depth of flavor that seemed unusual. After that, we had spinach ravioli, which were fat little homemade pillows, amazingly delicious, with a sauce of halved grape tomatoes lightly sautéed in olive oil. So fresh! Then we had rack of pork, which was presented as two thin chops beautifully browned, but very tender, and served with lightly sautéed mixed vegetables (those were good, but not great I can forgive that! . Finally, we had dessert. I got the deconstructed Napoleon another reviewer recommended. It was so cutely presented, and tasty. Husband got mini dessert two small puff pastry donuts. Believe it or not, we went back for breakfast because we really wanted something filling, and they serve more than the typical pastries. I had yogurt with muesli and fruit (so tart i had to add a pack of sugar! and husband ordered ham and cheese omelet, which came with bread. Both were nicely done and hit the spot. We just LOVED this place. You can 't go wrong there! On top of excellent food, the service is friendly and efficient (everyone there was so, so nice . The waitress was just as nice as the owner."

"welcome. the owner of "house" opens the door to its guests with a nice smile. cozy small room 7 tables in front kitchen to see..brigati of only men. Careful. .control and also observe the commensals that help the service tables. nice menu...x my taste. .excessive in some dishes the marked use of some ingredients. too tarassaco on the ravioli. The tomato powder on the sea salad in less quantity would appreciate the taste of the fish as it ended... sweet to share the .crostatine cocoa and discreet but disproportionate coffee. Oh, good praline.. nice service but not appropriate..poco careful.. the addition of the cutlery that passes in front of the customer is not pleasant. Last flow... I used knife x handcuffs when it's actually just my husband. Every time they had to shorten only x 1... and in the final glass wine. .in unidentified internal qlk granule . maybe residual wine? to the mescita did not realize initially my husband degota .but just stopped the glass realizes of the intruder. . no one had the kindness to ask if everything went well.. because it was left half a glass..p.s. very good the grissini.
