"I had to ring up to say we were delayed slightly on our walk from the Ridgeway. The hosts were absolutely charming and thanked me for alerting them to the fact we still intended to get to lunch as booked. They didn't hurry us at all when we arrived even though it was near to closing for lunch. The service was so friendly and professional and the food was superb. Highly recommend the cold fine sliced beef and frangipane rhubarb tart. Lovely ambience in a beautiful village."

"We made the booking with open table, when we got there they hadn't received it. We were found a table, no menus were given, or told of the specials. The food came promptly and was good. It does make me wonder should I have phoned for the booking, to clarify more."
