"We have visited Scotty's lounge on several occasions for breakfast and have always been surprised how quiet it has been when the food and service is excellent.On the basis of previous visits we decided to book an evening meal last Thursday for a 60th Wedding Anniversary treat for our parents. The menu was really different to other places in Weston and incorporated a lot of seafood (which we love We also pre-booked a whole lobster to ensure it was available to one of us on the night. We arrived promptly at 6pm and were welcomed and seated by a lovely server who usually works in the sister caf on the boulevard. The atmosphere was really lovely, despite it being quiet, I can only put it down to the staff being related and all working together to make it a lovely experience for us all.The food was amazing and for starters we ordered scallops 2), pate (salmon mousse, yum) and tempura veg (very light but a huge amount for a starter!)For mains we had lobster, vegetarian pithivier (yes we did have to ask what it was steak and a beautiful seafood mix on a bed of beansprouts (I can't recall the name but I know it was a special that hadn't been tried before Every meal came with veggies and baby potatoes or salad and chips. There was a huge amount of food, so much so that I took some home to have the next day. In my seafood mix was scallops, crab, calamari, prawns and lovely mushrooms and beansprouts underneath, delicious.We all struggled to eat the amount of food so shared desserts of creme brulee and pavlova, and coffees.Everything was positive, but here are some special mentions:1) Lots (plenty) of delicious food2) We didn't feel rushed3) The staff went out of their way to help explain the menu and were polite and courteous throughout4) Nothing was too much trouble for the restaurant to do for us5) Very reasonably priced for the quality of what we ordered6) Lovely atmosphere7) Clean and warm restaurant8) So fab that we are coming back on May 17th to our favourite table Already looking forward to it"
