"Absolutely awful! Me and my fiancee chose to have our christmas dinner at the peacock together, what a bad decision!! From the moment we walked in it was bad, no acknowledgment from any staff memebers for at least 5 minutes... We were then sat at our table... We order 2 glasses of wine, after 30 minutes of waiting my partner had to get up and go and collect them herself as they had been poured and just left on the bar area. We had already pre-ordered our food so there was no meed for us to order that. 1 hour past and still we havent recieved our starters. We then questioned how long they be and our waitress went to check, 5 minutes later they arrived. A further 1 hour later we were still waiting for our main course, so at this point we had been sat down for 2 hours and only had a starter with no sign of our mains arriving any time soon. Every table around us were complaining about the same thing, some had been there nearly 3 hours... At this point i went over the bar to speak to the 'supervisor ' , i asked for the manager and was told that they were in the kitchen so werent available, i demanded a full refund of which they couldnt of been quicker to give me and it was clear they were giving alot of refunds and complimentary drinks out. I would however like to mention that our waitress (rebecca) was brilliant in dealing with the mountain of complaints she had to deal with. She handled the situation really well it is just a shame that no manager was there to support her. Overall a shocking experience, clearly unstaffed, no leadership and i feel management really need training/replacing!"
