"Let me start by saying that we enjoyed the Santagloria so much in Madrid that we decided to wake up extra early before our train ride back to walk the 0.6 miles to try this location. The inside looks beautiful and is quite large which made us think this was the real deal. We should have known something would go wrong after observing the workers for a bit. Unfortunately they seemed very stressed and overwhelmed. The lady at the register must have been having a really bad day and gave the people in front of us a horrible attitude. We were next and had a larger than usual order I guess which she clearly made seem inconvenient and even interrupted us and took people 's orders behind us from over our heads while we waited (our order was large because we liked the Madrid location so much we wanted to pack food for our 2.5h train ride back and bring some for my parents too). I waited my turn in line but she made me feel like I did something wrong. Once the uncomfortable order was done and we sat down, I really should have known things would go wrong when I felt the fresh bread we ordered for takeaway and it was as hard as a rock. Then my husband tried his ham croissant sandwich and only parts of it were heated through and still had cold bites. But the worst part and what cost me my last day in Spain was the asparagus and mushroom quiche that I ordered. I 'm 20 weeks pregnant and limited in what I can eat in Spain without being able to have ham. My parents ordered this same quiche in the Madrid location various times and enjoyed it. Well this one, like my husband 's sandwich, was also not heated through, but we were pressed for time to make it to our train (we really squeezed this visit in to get one last taste of Santagloria) and I ate it. After the discomfort of solely placing our order, I was discouraged from going up to say anything. I should have just thrown it all away and walked out. At least the cappuccinos were good but when I went up to ask for sugar she made a face at me. Needless to say when I arrived in Madrid and checked into my AirBNB, my last day in Spain turned upside down and I spent the evening vomiting 3x and couldn 't stomach anything. I had a sensitive stomach the whole flight on the following day as well. This experience was very unfortunate and not how I wanted to end my trip to Spain."
