"We had a family meal here. The food was mostly good but there were several members of our party who were not that impressed hence what would have been awarded 4 stars had to be 3 stars (if there was a 3.5 we would have given that). So the good stuff: fab amuse bouche, nice bread and oil. Starters that were good croquettes and octopus ceviche. Pil Pil prawns were extremely spicy hot and the prawns nothing special so have to disagree with a few on here saying they are amazing! We thought they were nothing special. The mains: paella was tasty and more than enough for two people (probably stretch to three people). Rack of lamb was very small with very little meat and could not taste any of the rosemary. Stuffed chicken breast was dry. Both served with very small portion of limp chips and very little else by way of veg apart from a few bits of diced pepper. Caesar salad was a good sized but again nothing to set it apart from anything else. No fresh herbs or anything to lift it. Nice setting especially if sitting outside but can be very hot in summer. There was no music playing when we were there. Expensive for Spain we thought around €250 for 5 people with 1 bottle of wine. If we went back we’d only order 2 3 starters to share (croquettes you get 6 each) and probably paella for 4 for 5 people. However, would probably not return as so many other places to try in Estepona and left feeling we could have chosen better. We were caught between going to this place and 22 Galpon so can’t help wondering if Galpon would have been more consistent."
