"We have been going to the Parador de Arties for many years and I had never made a review. Several things: This summer we went with our pet, a small Schnauzer puppy, and our first surprise was at check-in when the receptionist told us that dogs could only be in the room and from there to the corridor and outside. You cannot say that you are a friend of animals and that you accept pets if you cannot sit in one of the lounges or simply have a drink at the bar (I am not saying the dining room anymore). To the question of and if it 's cold, can 't we dine inside at the bar? The answer was no and we should go to the pool terrace. We have not been able to see that there is a minimum requirement with children and older people who go up to the rooms or walk around the hotel barefoot and wet from the pool. Not to mention the lack of respect when playing and yelling through the rooms and corridors during rest hours, bothering others. Regarding the rooms, they have been the same for many, many years now. Poorly preserved they have become old and obsolete. Small sinks, switches that don 't work, service fan that looks like a current generator from the noise it makes, floor and furniture from our ancestors. In short, its modernization and updating is urgently needed. It is also urgent to update your digital transformation. It 's amazing to see the amount of paper that is printed when you apply for the account. At least 3 copies of everything (the previous one, yours and ours) which can be a lot of pages. Even the employee hallucinated when I asked him why Paradores does it the way it was done 40 years ago. Everything is kept on paper and he even indicated the boxes where the invoices are kept for quality review or auditing. The concept of paperless or big data must not have reached your organization. This same digital transformation would go well to improve the user experience and be personalized. For example, we have been coming every August for almost 10 years. No one recognizes us or has the slightest appreciation for it. Coldness and lack of personalization on arrival, stay and departure. Finally, please include real Aranese products in, at least, breakfast. Cookies, pasta, yogurt, cheese, ... would make it much more attractive and comply with what they say on their website. If they cut costs they can 't cut quality. Thank you for your time. jordi"

"The quality of the ingredients of the star dish, the cheese fondue, are VERY far from the almost ~18€ per person that they charged us (don't remember the exact number). The cheese is OK, but the gnocchi, mini sausages and the bread are horrible for that price... All of the ingredients were industrial cheap quality. Only this dish was almost 70€, as we were 4 people. Maybe the rest of the menu is better, definitely not the fondue, which gives the name to the place. The service and vibes were very traditional, similar to how most bars in Spain were 20, 30, 40 years ago. Avoid if you don't like bullfighting, as that's the main theme, otherwise, charming.
