"This was the second time we had visited cafe Alsur this week. The first time we thought the food was great, hence why we returned! Sadly, today the food was average and one of our party had her phone pick pocketed while it was placed...on the table. We were sitting inside the restaurant (not on a terrace) and a beggar entered the establishment. She placed a piece of paper on the table and in a slip of hand stole the iPhone sitting on the table. We realised approximately 10 minutes after leaving the cafe. When we returned the staff told us this was a common occurrence in cafes of Barcelona, however, they were not liable as they had a small sign at the cash register warning customers to be wary of thieves. The staff were very unsympathetic and rude when we shared our concerns. To add insult to injury we were charged an additional 50c for milk with our tea and there were a number of errors to what we ordered, which we would have happily overlooked had the above not occurred. You assume you can relax and feel safe while sitting inside a restaurant with a closed door, however, no attempts were made by staff to remove or stop such people from entering their establishment. When reporting the incident to the police they once again confirmed this was a very common tactic used by pick pocketers. BEWARE!"
