"You would not just walk by this restaurant and decide to give it a try as it is hidden on the fourth floor of a large department store, off to the right past a noisy cafeteria area. It is light and bright and relatively quiet. Even with a large group of 10 of us on the second visit there was no problem carrying on a conversation across the table. Each time we were pleased with our meals although we have had tastier artichoke hearts elsewhere and for less money. The tempura vegetables were good and so was the fish. The street, Serrano, where this branch of the Corte Ingles store is located is great for strolling and window shopping before or after your meal and is right on several bus lines, but a one way street heading into the center, so you could stroll or take the bus up Velasquez Street, also chock-a-block with upscale shops and then cut across a few blocks to Serrano. After lunch it's an easy walk down Serrano to the Retiro Park."
