"Arguably this parador is one of the best if not the best in Spain for setting and service. The dining room is big and not too charming but the glass enclosed gallery behind is the opposite backing the garden grounds. They were catering a wedding but the gallery component was unperturbed indeed the guests outside provided sort of live entertainment. Good service. We had a tortu de Verano , sort of thin toasts topped with grilled vegetables and, since they serve half rations, one of the traditional dish of Asturias, fabada (beans with chorizo and blood pudding). With that and some traditional arroz con leche (rice pudding) all washed down with an excellent Navarra rose we were more than satisfied and well served by very attentive personnel. It can be intuited why this Parador receives such high ranking. The oversight by the Manager is constant and excellent."
