"today to say that they were short personal, which was good, waitress explained, we had to go to the bar to order meals themselves, which was absolutely in order again. we have set ourselves and ordered our meals in the bar fast enough. However...no child menu was available, we were told that this was a menu for everyone. every adult meal came apart about mins and a meal was not served, all we thought it was on the way because the great waiting time served between other meals. a meal was absolutely ice cold and it was not possible this was explained to the waiting staff and the meal was taken away without other cakes. as I eat my meal, I discovered a wood shock that was redirected to the waiting staff. the young waiter took the wood from me, examined it, threw it on the floor and told me: “I am not the cook.” about a few minutes later a waitress came to ask, everything was in order and I explained a meal was ice cold, there were wood in mine (which I was not able to show her how the younger waiter threw it away) and another meal did not arrive at all. about a few minutes later the same waitress came back to explain after talking to the cook, the wood was “cold”. my brother in law was with me who is in the did a cook himself and could confirm that this was not ingwer, it was sharp and could scratch the skin. I then asked how the cook would know that it was ingwer if he did not really see the foreign object in my meal!? my man asked the personal if they had baby change facilities they told him they hadn't done it, they explained there was only one disabled toilet on the doorstep. my son had to be moved on the floor in the bathroom. when I later asked where the toilets were to be used for me, I was directed on toilets below that in the did perfectly functioning baby change facilities! the manager wouldn't talk to us and instead he sent his waiting staff to communicate with us. we got a refund for the unsatisfactory meals, but that was far from the standard we expected, I can confirm that I never returned to this restaurant."

We decided to have lunch here on a recent day out. At for three courses, it was very good value. The food was of a high standard and the service was good as well. Will definitely do this again.

the food was decent. the restaurant upstairs is really nice, but the caffe is bad. restaurant prices for a self-service café. if they enjoy their food with plastic cutlery eating and drinking their pint from a plastic glass, then this is the place for them

Early bird menu on a Friday night was outstanding. Garlic mushrooms to start were very generous and tasty. Baked cod with chorizo mash and the rump steak supplement for the steak) were both delicious. Sticky toffe pud to finish excellent also. Service amazing.

had a nice suppe in the bistro under the main restaurant for lunch. it was really beautiful fungal leek. I had the same suppe a few months earlier in the restaurant as an appetizer, so they have to send up to the up until the...fresh suppe of the day. handy, warm and tasty with a warm roll.

Food was fantastic but service was poor. Waited until waiter/waitress came. When they did food was served promptly and to an excellent standard. Are drinks order we waited minutes as waitress didn't know when order was taken who ordered. Wee man beside...us when finished his meal asked for his bill. They never came with it he had to go to bar and ask. He was very cross. If degrees North read this they need to give there waiting staff a good shake. As if waiting staff where up food it would be a five.

We called in to Degrees north with friends celebrating a birthday,the waiting staff were so helpful and attentive,and the food we got was really tasteful,what let our day down was when the bill arrived they were trying to charge us for meals that we...didn't get,the bill was pounds over charged,what made it worse was when the manager sorted it out he set it back on our table and walked away,no apology or explanation,I would have to say the rest of the waiting staff are a credit to the restaurant, will be back again,all I would say is make sure you check your bill before you pay for it.

Went with my wife and two kids last night. Service very poor...seemed to have a lot of new young staff, who were trying their best. Waited ages for food to be cleared, then even longer for dessert order to be taken. Kids food was fine...but my salt n chilli chicken was saturated in chilli sauce and the chicken was overcooked. The posh fish butty that my wife had was tasteless and the pea puree on the sourdough bread was a bad idea as it left the bread all soggy. This used to be one of my favourite places to eat on the north coast but there are now so many other places offering better food and service! Felt sorry for all the new staff....they looked like they needed a few more experienced peo...

A very tough one to write we pre-booked (months before in fact) so they knew we were coming. When we arrived it was clear they were over-run and despite being a booking felt we were rushed in to an end table as a last...resort. Not a good start. Waiting for order took an age but eventually happened. Then starters arrived but no drinks yet this is a bit of a red line for me in hospitality I'd like a damn drink with my meal starters on table going cold we chased up drinks, twice... Tucked in starter was tasty still no drinks. As finishing the starter drinks arrived on tray only for one bottle of wine and a large apple juice to be dropped by the waiter down my back, soaking me in the process. W...
