Eating excellent, wines unfortunately somewhat overpriced, therefore price/performance only 4 points, ambience/cleanness does not correspond entirely to my style, therefore also here not the full score.

Ok is how I would describe this place. The food is okay, the ambience is okay, value is okay. Unfortunately, if the best you can say about a restaurant is that it is okay, then it isn't that special a place to visit I've been...here once, and I do not expect that I will return.

A Rainbow In Your Plate. When ordering you do not at all expect to be served such delicious food artistically arranged in your plate. It took me a while before tasting a golden egg, tender and perfectly cooked roe filets and a Parmesan cheese crème...brûlée. Service is more than perfect and Mr Gamba is sparkling. Ver carta

Secluded area of town, the menue with complexity and not a good representation of the very good food. The serving is very poor, the tables and seating poor. The food is indeed very good tasting, extremely well presented and absolutely delicious. But not an extraordinary...culinary place. Wine menu is marginal. Go here, only if your miss marginal french cuisine.

If you are looking for a special place for a nice dinner, you are here: The Acquarello is one of the top Italians in Germany and has been awarded a Michelin star. From the beginning you can feel the high level, the service is first class! The staff is attentive at any time without looking. The menu can be overlooked, but when reading the individual dishes, the water goes into the mouth. As the ambience says, the prices are very high: as an appetizer cattle Carpaccio (26th Euro), then a small sum (16th Euro), as a main course a fantastic delicious lamb shoulder for 41. Wenn man diversen Gastro Guides glauben darf: eines der besten italienischen Restaurants in Deutschland. Und das kann ich zu großen Teilen nachvollziehen. Aber von vorne: Für einen Samstag Abend war erstaunlich wenig los, gerade mal 3 weitere Tische waren besetzt. Normalerweise ist sowas immer etwas verdächtig, aber wir fanden es nicht schlimm. So kann man sich in Ruhe umschauen. Was dabei auffällt: die Wandmalerei erinnert mich mehr an ein griechisches Restaurant als an einen gehobenen Italiener, aber okay. Der Service war sehr nett, zuvorkommend und gut vorbereitet. Empfehlungen für das Menü sowie „a la carte“ passten auch. Die Weinkarte hätte ich etwas exklusiver erwartet, aber auch hier... Ver carta
