"A random review on the map read 'best kebab ' or something along those lines. I thought yeah, tell me about that , but still went there to take a looksie. Man was it worth it! These people deal in actual real meat, not the grey zombie scabs that you see being shaved with a machine off one big grey piece of something that comes as one piece wrapped in tons of plastic, as seen in most 'kebab ' places. Moreover, they have real kebab, i.d. meatballs of mince shaped around a skewer, and even more actual lamb meat ons skewers as in 'shashlik '! Imagine your dürüm with that.. Besides they dispose of an actual coal grill, which is so important (and sadly unknown to many for the meat 's flavour. Now there every time im in Biel"

We waited a total of 1.5 hours for pide and a kebab. The staff was very unfriendly. When I complained, two men behind the counter made fun of us, shaking their heads and giving us dirty looks. They also didn't apologize or say goodbye when we paid and left the store. Customer is king is probably a foreign concept here. Ver carta

This place is amazing. It is not just another kebap shop in Biel, it is a real grill-house with a large offer of dishes, that are by the way all delicious. The location is extremely clean and customer-friendly. The owner makes you feel really welcome. I am eating there on a regular basis and was never disappointed. The value for money is great. I would recommand this restaurant to anybody without any hesitation.

Don’t pay attention to the front door, this is no usual kebab hang-out, it’s the entry door to a real Anatolian journey. Tough to pick the best dish but don’t miss the house special, the Adana skewer, grilled on charcoal, served with bulgur, chilli and the house amazing tomato salad, the Ezme. The lamb chops, the lamb skewers are to die for. If you have to stick to a kebab (despite the large variety of original and yummy tastes) stick to the house special meat, a mix of chicken and veal. And if by the end of the meal you still remember you’re in Bienne and not on a Mediterranean shore, and if you still have room for a desert, go for the warm Kunefe with a tea. Bon Voyage.

Bahnhofstrasse 48, 2502 Biel/Bienne, Switzerland

"Travelling by train from Lausanne to Zurich I felt like a break in the city of Biel/Bienne to have a bite and to try some local wine, since the area around the lake of Biel is a well known wine growing area. On that warm summer evening most locals had been heading towards the lake, thus the center was rather quiet. From the railway station I walked down the Bahnhofstrasse, where there are no cars, only city busses going through. On the right hand side can be found several eateries with outdoor seating. I chose the last one with almost no guests, but a friendly looking waitress. My order had been a glass of local white wine as a starter and the excellent waitress, who was also very informed about wine growing, recommended me a 'Schafiser '. Schafis is a village near the lake and it has given here the name to the Chasselas grape, which is so popular all over Western Switzerland and which is known as 'Fendant ' in the Valais. The modern looking restaurant in a functionalist style has all kind of dishes, also Fondue and Steak Tartare, but I went for a 'Falken Plättli '. On a plate of black slate are served cold cuts (roast beef, dry-cured ham, salami) and very little cheese, all topped by gherkins, caper berries and baby-tomatoes. Slices of dark bread and butter come with it and also a peppermill is brought along. To accompany the dish I asked for some local red wine and the waitress suggested a 'Pinot Noir ' from the village of Ligerz. The two deciliter came in a small caraffe. It was a quiet dinner and I enjoyed sitting outside and doing some people watching. After the tourist crowds of Montreux a few hours earlier it was relaxing to see no tourists here,on the other hand a for Switzerland surprising high number of obviously local residents with overseas roots."
