"This place was my ancestral home and so the commentary may include some bias. My Italian cousins found the place while looking for a missing painting. The painting is still missing but we found this majestic and perfect villa with an accompanying landscape marked by...lavender, rosemary, fruit filled trees, oranges, lemons, tomatoes and vineyards. Needless to say the wine was magnificent. The red was my favorite but everyone also seemed to enjoy the white. Upon arrival we were greeted by Grazia who could not have been more accommodating. A true professional with regards to customer service. Everywhere we turned the beauty of the place and the landscape was mesmerizing. The air was filled with all these wonderful scents and the architectural splendor of the villa and surrounding buildings melted perfectly into the landscape. The current owners restored this place to its former glory and actually improved upon it because everything works perfectly well now. One can see there was a great deal of time and effort dedicated to this place and a thoughtful restoration was performed. The rooms are large. The bathrooms are great and the beds are comfortable. The dinner consisted of an antipasto, a soup course, a pasta course and the secondo which was usually a meat dish. The finale was a dessert and the wine flowed. You will definitely want to eat at least breakfast and dinner at the Torraccia because it is up on top of the hill. I would not drive the gravel road at night. It is basically a one lane road. I had a Smart Car and it was fine but not to be driven late at night. The staff gives you a big glass bottle of water at night with glasses and a friendly buon riposo. In the morning the breakfast consists of meats, breads, homemade jams, fruit salad, croissants, homemade tortes, cheeses, cereal and yogourt. There is clearly something for everyone. One negative....in a land of excellent coffee the coffee was american style. I asked for an espresso and it was decent but not great. Another small negative is the hair dryer. You will have a challenge trying to style your hair with this unit because as soon as you pull on it it goes on and then when it slacks it shuts itself off. I pulled my hair back in a ponytail after trying the first day to dry it. When you are there, the pool is great. I went for a AM swim and San Gimignano is in the background. What a great workout. Do NOT miss San Gimignano, or Siena. Siena's Piazza del Campo is the most beautiful piazza in all the world, second is the Pantheon in Roma. I took my daughter to Volterra and we enjoyed both the drive and the town. I left the Torraccia at AM and was at the Rome Train Station at AM. It is an easy ride on the (Florence to Rome toll road). The owners of the Torraccia are incredibly hospitable and regal in nature and I was honored to have met them. I know they deserve this special place and by welcoming others make the experience more globally appreciated. They are the perfect family to carry on the wonderful traditions my own family enjoyed for centuries here. I highly recommend the agriturismo for anyone wanting to relax amidst the Tuscan countryside."

We stayed at the Agriturismo, and had dinner here every night during our stay. Every night we had a course dinner which was based on what was available locally. It was very delicious.

We had two dinners here. They are five-course set menus. Although the food is delicious, the overall quantity is too much. Would have enjoyed it more if especially the soup and pasta courses had been about the size.

Very thoughtful owners a beautiful setting. Would definitely stay there again,,,The setting was magnificent. Fabulous vistas. Olives, apples, grapefruit, oranges pomegranates, Views of towers of San Gimignano in the distance. Garden Historical old house and path used by the Archbishop of Canterbury We had one meal only though and it was a good home cooked meal but not great. A bit too salty and a bit too much...more home style than gourmet....

Home cooked meals authentic Tuscan. Stayed here nights and had their breakfast every day and dinner nights. Breakfast buffet has both hot cold items. Their scrambled eggs are delicious. Best cappuccino and bruschetta in Italy! Lunch can be requested at additional...cost. Dinner is course every night and full of wonderful surprises. Includes appetizer, soup, pasta, entree, dessert. Very reasonably priced. Food is very good and it is sooooo convenient to eat here and then just go to your room or sit outside and relax. Lazar helps serve in the evening he is funny and accommodating. Hats off to Bruno and all the kitchen staff!

Someone below wrote that there was too much quantity WHAT?? Totally disagree -it's perfect, and a very traditional Italian menu. Each night is different (we ate there twice). When you arrive you are offered an apperitivo (say yes then comes a small antipasto...(we had soup), followed by a primo (pasta, which is fantastic), then a secondo (some kind of meat), and finished by a very small dolce. We didn't have a single bad dish! We were full, but not too full and were offered grappa at the very end (at your own risk! . I know that they accomodate food allergies and preferences as well but if you can, just show up, sit down, and be happily surprised by the courses that come out of the kitchen!

We stayed at Torraccia di Chiusi for two nights, and dined there on both evenings. Both our meals were excellent unpretentious, honest Tuscan home cooking at its best. From the antipasti to the fresh fruit, coffee and grappa, everything was fresh, tasty and well-presented....The outdoor dining area is gorgeous, overlooking wonderful views. Not surprisingly, the hotel and restaurant attract very nice guests, with whom we had pleasant chats. The service is friendly and very attentive (they made double sure to meet my girlfriend's dietary requirements lactose intolerance and no shrimps). Their home produced white wine at Euros a bottle! was absolutely great (the region is better known for its r...

Sunday lunch with some friends, who made us know this beautiful structure in the Tuscan hills, overlooking San Gimignano. The owner – together with his wife, people of exquisite kindness and culture – shows us the farm, almost a small village, which includes among other things, in addition to the elegant and comfortable rooms, a cozy library corner and a swimming pool surrounded by greenery. from the organic vineyards produce different types of wine and bubbles in the company cellar. Here, during some renovations, many bronze and silver coins were found and above all a suggestive votive statue of a young bronze bidder, dating back to the first half of the ii century BC, witnessing the existe...
