Dishes that met our expectations after a day of work. Excellent staff. Food orders are placed at the bar. Large selection of alcohol and beers.

Pop in for a couple of pints with my girlfriend after going to southmead hospital. The barmaid was polite and helpful and the atmosphere was friendly.

I've been here several times since it was taken over by Greene King. It has improved massively. The food is lovely and service is quick. Even had a birthday party here with 30+ guests and they accommodated us well, including bringing out the birthday cake and lighting the candles. Great atmosphere! Ver carta

Popped into the Air Balloon whilst staying at the adjacent premier inn for dinner. Took the opportunity to try the 8 oz sirloin steak offer. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meat and accompanying sides. I have paid a lot more for worse cuts of meat in other establishments. Well done to the chef

I'm hoping today was just an off day. I visited after the lunchtime rush and in the time was here none of the tables in the bar area were cleared. The meat in my mixed grill was cooked just as I ordered, but the food wasn't hot. As I say, I hope it was one-off. It won't stop me visiting again as previous visits have been excellent.

Came here with some friends from University to watch the football and had a great time. Atmosphere was amazing but the food was what made us come back a second time when it was a bit more quiet and again we really enjoyed ourselves. Staff were super helpful, food was well cooked and piping hot, could tell it was fresh, highly recommend! Ver carta

Worst pub in Bristol. Longest waiting for an order ever. Only 1 person behind the bar on a busy Friday night and saterday. Don't come unless you like a 15 minute wait for a pint. Staff are miserable. Management always sat on their arse not helping. Food is under cooked and raw on a regular basis. After 11 years of drinking there I will not take 1 foot back in that place. BEWARE

We booked a table for 4 when we arrived there was one member of staff on the bar and the other staff watching the football completely ignoring the one staff member when they was in clear need for help and ignoring customers. I had the chick and mix and the chicken nuggets came out burnt and over done… to the point you could have thrown them at a window and the window would have smashed. Inedible It ruined the first night of our holiday Won’t be returning

Great food, good service. One of our party had food allergies and they double checked everything before it was served Staff were helpful and attentive My only negative was the incredibly loud music in the bar and eating area. Even the waitress couldn't hear us It was only 1830 so not late, but it was packed with some roudy noisy people.
