"The service was very slow bearing in mind there were only four customers in the restaurant. My starter arrived when my wife’s starter was finished!!! We had mixed shish kebab, poppadom’s with chutneys (paid for). Lemon rice and vegetable jalfezi. Keema rice and mixed meat jalfezi (only lamb in it). Also, chickpea curry. All was going well the food was really yummy. And thought we will deffo bring family and friends here. As we could not eat everything, we asked for doggy bags. It went downhill after this. My wife asked the manager, we would like to take some of the chutneys away with us. The manager said no, if you want chutneys to take home you have to pay for them. My wife pointed out we have already paid for them and will not be paying again for them. The manager became quite argumentative. t the end of the day, those chutneys are contaminated and would end up in the bin, what a waste. So, to end a lovely meal, my wife ended up with no chutneys. We will not be coming again. Nor would we recommend this restaurant to family and friends."

Waited 2 hours for food was cold the rice was **** very very disappointed with it iv just rang and no one seems to care will never use again its a shame fort they was better than that

here on a rainy night after the reviews. one of us is gluten-free, so was happy to find, they are pretty good knowledgeable. nice eating to all really good quality, hot and very tasty. very recommended, friendly staff.

This restaurant really is a hidden gem, small and unassuming from the street you enter into a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Greeted by pleasant and well mannered staff who are eager to please and give you an experience to remember. Both times I have dined here the food has been delicious. Non greasy and made with the freshest of ingredients just how indian cuisine should be. Note for anyone looking to book a table here, Do Not Rely on the online booking system as this does not always relay the correct information, just give them a call to book a table you wont regret it.

We had a much better meal than anticipated. We used to regularly visit this restaurant when we first moved here, three decades ago! Then with kids in tow we strayed away to country pubs and such. So having booked a table at the new Italian by the Tithe Barn and finding it shut when we arrived we had to find an alternative. We voted and Akash won. The food was very good, high quality, generous and ace value: popadoms starter, five mains, rice, veg sides, nans, two pints, large red wine, large sparkling water all in £108.00 tip and the food was great.
