Between my family we shared the lamb ribs, the meat platter and the turbot (fish) all of which were excellent. Amazing atmosphere, not crowded at all, it felt like we were having our own private party. Highly recommended!

At my hotel's recommendation I took a walk on a rainy windy evening, to the Hotel Deutsches Haus. Al Duomo resides inside this historic landmark. There is a large dining room with private rooms as well. I received an English menu and a friendly greeting...as I was seated. My dining choices were well prepared, and reasonably priced when set in the atmosphere of the dining room. Service was functional and just that. It diminished a positive dinner experience, but did not ruin it.

Arriving in the city and not knowing any place to eat, I looked to TripAdvisor for help. I notice this restaurant had good reviews in English unfortunately I don't read German, the not good reviews. I looked at the photos of food a location...and it seemed to be a nice place. In interior is very charming and comfortable but once I received my ordered I was badly surprised and disappointed.... what was supposed to be a medium-rare rack of lamb with rosemary was a well done rack covered with a tomato sauce.
