Best desi food I have had in ages, this place is a hidden gem. At first look it might not come off as attractive but if you eat the food here, you’ll be amazed

Dinner with a family friend have not catch up for few months. Food was good, as you expect from authentic Bengali cuisine. MY HATE FOR ANYONE JUST ASK FOR CASH PAYMENT WITHOUT ANY SIGNAGE. VERY POOR PRACTICE.

Had dinner twice. It was a short walk from the place where we stayed. Excellent food. If you want to have a taste of real Bangladeshi food, must go there. They have varieties of items. Go for any of the fishes. Remember that real Bangladeshi food is spicy. Ver carta

The food at this restaurant is not cooked on-site, but rather prepared elsewhere and reheated in a microwave for dine-in orders. Despite this, the cuisine is undeniably delicious and authentic Bengali. The Chicken Jalfrezi was outstanding, and the Brain masala was superb!

Best of authentic Bengali cuisine in the heart of London for both Indian and Bangladeshi Bengalis. Very affordable and excellent variety. If one concentrates on food and not so much on sauve or posh locality or decoration or space then this should be your choice. Variety and affordability are the two key special points here..

I have driven past Amar Gaon many times but had never gone in until yesterday. A Bengali friend of mine persuaded me to try it out, and I am so glad I did. They offer a variety of delicious dishes, such as chicken bhuna, tarka dal, and saag aloo, which are familiar to me. However, they also serve traditional Bangladeshi fish dishes like pomfret and even brain masala for those who are more adventurous. There is something on the menu for everyone, whether you are feeling daring, somewhat adventurous, or not adventurous at all. Ver carta

As always this place is a gem for authentic Bangladeshi cuisine. A nostalgic experience for many latter generations of Bangladeshis like myself, who for many reasons, lack such original culinary skills. The food is amazing. Slightly more on the spicy side to your average curries hence caution is advised. This is a no thrills restaurant. It’s a hub for local Bangladeshi’s (explains the ‘foreign’ TV channels mentioned by other reviewers). Service is average/good They do not accept plastic huge inconvenience. Will continue to be a frequent haunt for me.

Brick Lane is known for its curry, but establishments like this are tarnishing its reputation. This restaurant is the worst I have ever been to. I went there with my wife during lunchtime and the service was terrible. The food was cold and flavorless, clearly not fresh and likely reheated in the microwave. The tables and toilets were dirty, and the staff were seen sitting down and eating while customers waited. To top it off, we were overcharged for a few items. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking to spend their money. It's a shame that this restaurant is still in business.

As the title suggests, this is a takeaway (I believe delivery also) with food on display in the chiller cabinets at the front, and tables inside so that you could sit and eat in. It's pretty basic no Wifi nor charging points and TV set to some foreign channel. They don't serve beer but suggested I could get some cans from over the road, and I also found they don't take plastic I had to nip out to the cashpoint first! Despite me being shown to a table, it wasn't obvious that I had to head back up to the counter to order my meal; there's no menus and no prices.
