Stumbled across this attractive looking building and went in. Big mistake. Waited an eternity for our meal, then they got mine wrong. Waited another mins for them to get it right. So we ate separate meals and then at the end our grumpy host...refused any recompense. Avoid at all costs. Make sandwiches! Don't say you weren't warned.

I stopped in ambrosia on Monday night, as on Monday only a few places were opened in the city. I was warmly welcomed and they spoke English and had an English menu (and a German menu). the menu is very diverse from appetizers to...steaks, pasta and pizza. they have a full bar with crying, beer and liqueur. eating was acceptable and served hot. the pasta and pizza was in order, but with a lot of products on the menu they were not exceptional. this is a good restaurant if you want a lot of objects to please a group of people. the check was a bit slow, but in general my service was good. Wir waren über Pfingsten mit Freunden hier, weil die Karte ansprechend war und das Lokal jeden Abend voll besetzt was üblicherweise ein gutes Zeichen ist. Der Service war eine Katastrophe und der Chef sehr unfreundlich. Wir haben fast 2 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet. Dies wurde damit entschuldigt, dass das Restaurant voll besetzt war. Nach unserer Meinung sollte ein Restaurant in der Lage sein, alle ihre Gäste in einem angemessenem Zeitrahmen zu bewirten. Das Essen war geschmacklich in Ordnung, allerdings auch recht hochpreisig. I've been to this place quite a few times. The building is quaint with an old world charm to it. I like the lamb chops here. (Try mainly lamb dishes here). The seafood can be better. They also serve a couple of pure vegetarian dishes...(Pizzas), which is relevant if you are an Indian a vegetarian, as most of my Indian colleagues like this place. The place has a well stocked salad bar. The service could be a little more prompt. This place is run by a gentleman who has the closest thing to a photographic memory I have seen. ambrosia is supposed to be the food of the gods. these gods are clearly among the fallen gods. I've never been to a restaurant where so many things are not allowed. first, we couldn't have a whole bottle of house wine, "because we don't do this, only in the glass." We were offered the wine card when we wanted a bottle and then we became clear why. the cheapest bottle wein was over 30 €. I asked for a carafe water and got a bottle of mineral water.
