Ambrosius - Carta

A short walk from our hostel, this restaurant had delicious food at a fair price, and very large portions, I was very satisfied and would highly recommend.

we were totally disappointed by the service. the dishes were in order, especially the white carvings and the apfelstrudel, after all was an involuntary service that was reluctant to admit the bill was wrong and also for the water that was served in a glass.

We ate here twice on a recent trip, and my partner - who was raised by a German mother and grandmother - absolutely loved the food. The place is small but reassuringly busy, and we were served promptly and well. The focus is on the food, and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. Ver carta

We were only in Berlin for two nights and found this restaurant on the last (unfortunately!) We had a lovely dinner with first class food and wine and immaculate service. The menu is extensive with plenty of local dishes for the traveller to sample. Thoroughly recommended and will use again if we get the chance.

Fantastic unpretentious traditional German fare! The pot roast with red cabbage and potatoes was spot on. I will return tomorrow to try the cabbage rolls. My dining companion and I ordered 2 dinners and 3 half liters of their own brewery beers for a total of 40 euros. Go and you will find a real, German home cooked meal.

Stayed at Sheraton, across park and just past corner this place was crowded. Saw some people from our tour, invited to join, found extra chairs and a very tight squeeze but worth it. excellent schweinbraten (10.90 E), Jagerschnitzel (13.90 E), wine by the full glass (5.90 E). Good food, service and worth the noisy crowded area. We will go back. Ver carta

eating was very good. the carving and the carving is made with very good bark. it would be perfect with bratkartoffel. there is a young lady as a waiter very nice and also an old German woman very nice. she made us feel at home. but there is a woman who works on the bar who was actually very rude and speak on a disgusting way to the customers. the prices of the drinks are, in my opinion, somewhat high.

we have eaten here tonight (our evening in berlin). average food, average performance and fairly average atmosphere and overall only three points of five, total. for example, the green beans that came with one of the nets seemed to get out of the freezer. could not be served fresh vegetables, in an outward looking restaurant in berlin in Germany? in the average and reasonable, but also with regard to the bill, for what we have ordered, a bottle of wine, a bottle of champagne, net, shared dessert and two expressos, for less than euro, including a small tip. we will not return.

Have to say everything was going well when after I asked for glass of water twice was answered twice you don’t serve water but we sell bottled. With my modest opinion, when a client will pay you a bill above euros and has of alcohol already why could you give a glass of water ? Maybe I am missing something but when you have to take tablet medication you don’t go and bye a bottle of water. That was really désappointement as the rest was ok . When was asked if food was good and had the water in mind my answer was it was ok as I was bit surprised, but can say now was not bad at all Hope my review will help as it was recommended by my hotel meaning can’t be bad.
