"We booked this as it was adjoining the hotel we where staying in and we had read good reviews. We had booked in advance, which was fine but it was a lovely warm night and they put us inside. They have a large terrace by...the pool. We asked if it was possible to go outside but were informed it was not possible as they were all booked. There were several empty tables available which stayed empty all night. We had the impression the waitress could not be bothered to check. We were on the second serving so there are no later servings. Anyway to the food. I had a Caesar salad that was swimming in sauce making it uneatable. We then waited over a hour for our main course. The food, when it finally arrived was okay but by then we wished we had gone somewhere else to eat. The prices are quite expensive but the service and food did not match them. For the same prices I can eat in a gourmet restaurant here in Bern, Switzerland and this was not the same standard. We had a great time in Europa Park and will come again, but not to this restaurant"

"So we wanted to try out some authentic german food and our pension hostess recommended this restaurant. She made a reservation for us and we were on our way!!!The place is nice and big, with an outdoor section as well as large inside area. We as a party of 9 were seated inside after a bit of a wait trying to find a waiter or staff...there did not seem to be any greeters/hostesses around. The menu was quite comprehensive and laid out well, with an explanation of each item in english for those who did not speak german. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpfully, patiently explained the nuances of each item, despite the place being quite busy. We also informed them that we would not be eating pork and our waiter was very vigilant in pointing out when it was present. I had the turkey schnitzel which was like a breaded fried cutlet. My daughter had the steak, and my wife the creamy turkey. Some of the kids had the spaghetti and my brother had the salad with steak. In each case the portions were huge and the food of good solid quality. All the sauces, with steak, schnitzel, pasta were all very tasty and not spicy. Sadly we were too boring and no one ordered the spätzle, which is a german pasta that this restaurant is famous for, making it homemade. We later asked for a bit to try and it was delicious, so make sure at least one dish has this side!!! So a great introduction to german food. They do specialize in meats, so one should try those menu items and not be too conservative. Recommended!!!"

"We were there on Monday, October 16th, 2023. The restaurant was very crowded but in hindsight that's no surprise. We had never experienced such delicious food. Of course, since it was mid-October, the terrace had been dismantled. We then ordered takeaway. Since there was no cutlery to be found in our accommodation, I asked if we could take cutlery with us. Wasn't a problem either. The pizza was already pre-cut and the pasta for the little one was also very tasty. That's what the little one said. So we are happy to recommend it. "Unfriendly services, drinks are available at least 35 minutes. Since our service was overwhelmed with 3 tables, we were asked to go to the bar to pay there. At the bar, another operation from the side made us fool, why we're in front of the bar now. A competent and friendly service is not too much required for the price on site. Achja, with good luck, there is another service that unfortunately cannot speak so little German and English. Then you can explain with hand and foot what you want to order. As an alternative: Google and pictures show a bad one!"

"Great experience in a great South European-Mediterranean restaurant.The buffet really leaves nothing to be desired. Even vegetarians are at their expense. The meat spies are sensational delicious. Whether lamb, beef, pig, chicken or even pineapple, everything cooked to the point is super tasty.For me the price, performance ratio is top!!Ideal for a nice evening with friends and family.Vegetarian options: antipathy, potatoes, a lot of salads, bread and various dips.Kid-friendliness: extra buffet for children.Parking: large parking at the hotel."
