"The menu offered a wide variety of options at reasonable prices. We decided on the seafood paella, feta and sundried tomato pasta, and the fried cheese. Each dish was freshly prepared and bursting with flavor. The fried cheese was a pleasant surprise, as we had never tried it before but found it to be absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed some delightful small bottles of wine to complement our meal. The service was excellent, the restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the overall experience was lovely. We only wish we lived closer so we could dine here more often. If you find yourself in Northampton and in need of a great dining spot, make sure to check out this hidden gem!"

Had an amazing Fruite di Mare pizza, you could taste all the seafood without the base or cheese being overpowering. After a very long day working away from home I walked out a lot happier than I walked it. Food should make you happy and this ticked all the boxes. Ver carta

Took a chance on this place for a pre cinema meal. What a hidden gem! Ondrej was the perfect host and made us feel very welcome. Home made bread was superb and both our pasta dishes were fresh and delicious. Good value too so I think we shall return soon. Deserves more sit-in diners so put this on your list to visit when in town!

Had the big daddy breakfast at 9.99 Cooked fresh at about 15 minutes but worth the wait. Mugs of tea inbetween. Friend had bespoke breakfast due to diet which they kindly did. Food was hot and tasty. Power and USB charge points, clean tables and place. Staff friendly and attentive. It 's a great breakfast and deserves to be busier. I 'd recommend and go back. Ver carta

We had a fantastic evening at Andreas. We booked because of proximity to our accommodation but were blown away by Onjre’s hospitality, service from his team of chefs and waitresses but even this paled in comparison to the superb food on offer. Between us we had pre ordered almost everything on their extensive menu: charcuterie platters, heavenly garlic bread, T bone and sirloin steaks, pizzas, risotto, burgers…great drink options too with Moretti, Peroni, excellent Pinot Grigio wine. We feel so lucky to have spent the evening at Andreas.

After attending the theatre on Friday night, we decided to dine at this restaurant as it was conveniently located across from our hotel. Despite the late hour of 10:30pm, we received a warm welcome and were reassured that they typically close at 11pm. The food was spectacular, particularly the pizza which I found to be the tastiest I've ever had. The combination of delicious food and drinks, paired with excellent service, made for a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for guests staying at the IBIS Central at the SOL Centre. We will definitely be returning in the future.

"I had the pleasure of visiting La Terraza Tapas Bar in Upton with my kids, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was incredibly cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a family outing. The friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the tapas selection. The steak with chimichurri sauce was a burst of flavors that left us craving for more, and the Tempura prawns were simply delectable. It's clear that the chefs here take pride in their creations, as every dish we tried was a delightful journey for the taste buds. As a first-time visitor, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience, and I can confidently say it won't be our last visit. While the prices leaned slightly towards the expensive side, the quality of the food and the cozy ambiance more than made up for it. La Terraza Tapas Bar strikes the perfect balance between a gourmet dining experience and a comfortable family outing. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant, which is always an important factor for me when choosing a place to dine. All in all, La Terraza Tapas Bar offers a fantastic option for a memorable lunch with family or friends. If you're looking for a place that combines delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and a touch of elegance, this is definitely a spot worth considering. AKASAKA Japanese

"I wondered why this restaurant described itself on the board outside as ‘fusion’, why there were so many Korean dishes on the menu and why the serving staff have heard of Asahi beer but haven’t heard of The Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper that is at least 50 years old. The answer is that the Akasaka website isn’t being completely honest when it describes their Northampton branch as a Japanese restaurant. They aren’t really Japanese, although some of their menu items are clearly Japanese. Don’t let that put you off, however, as they are serving excellent food and we enjoyed our meal there very much. It cost us about £70 (inc. 10% tip) for our meal for two people including a 175ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my lovely wife and two 330ml bottles of Asahi Dry for me. The sushi was excellent, the edamame beans were great but we didn’t feel that the Dolsot Bibimbap (a Korean dish with loads of rice, some shredded vegetables, prawns and a fried egg on top) offered very good value for money at just under sixteen pounds. We would recommend Akasaka in Northampton and would certainly go there again, but if we want a genuinely Japanese meal, prepared and served by Japanese staff, then we will be sticking to Ginza Restaurant on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. Don’t like the way that the male members of staff at Sakura on Bridge Street speak to their female colleagues, very disrespectful, so we avoid that Japanese restaurant nowadays. Great to have a choice of three Japanese restaurants in Northampton post-pandemic, and our favourite of the three is Ginza."
