"We called here on 2 occasions for coffee and croissant as well as late lunch. This coffee shop is amazing. The people speak Italian, but they tried to help in every way with English and some sign language. The pastries were delicious as was the coffee. For lunch we had panini which were very tasty. Along side the cafe is a small deli counter serving meats, cheeses and prepared dishes like pasta dishes or lasagne. There is seating inside as well as outside and there is also a seated section right on the front of the lake with impressive views. Bellissimo! Highly recommended."

We had a early lunch here of a toasted panino with mozzarella, tomato, and anchovies. Excellent! Also, excellent cappuccino without too much milk, just the way I like it. Very reasonably priced. Definitely come here for coffee and a bite.

I and my family, when we go to belgirate milan, we always go to paolo both for breakfast and aperitif and as takeaway, if we don't want to prepare food. the management is friendly and familiar, the internal location is modern and very beautiful and the external one overlooking the lake. È il mio bar abituale per il caffè di metà mattina. Il sorriso di Grazia e Francesca è davvero un invito ad entrare . E che dolci ...ma devo proprio stare a dieta? Che tortura averne lì a portata di mano, tanti e gustosissimi ..... L'ambiente è ampio per chi gradisse un po' di intimità x chiaccherare un po' è ideale. La comodità è che è anche alimentari, devo dire ben fornito, sebbene causa sempre per me il tempo tiranno al più mi fo preparare un panino veloce

Read some good reviews and wanted to try it as it was in a good location. We wanted to sit and watch the boats etc. First time shutters were down all closed up. Second time young man setting up outside told us we would be better inside. Possibly as we were the first customers and it meant he had to cross the road to serve us. He then told us no food was being served and pointed us to the snack menu on the board behind us. No smile or apology or even asking what we were looking for to eat and drink. Gave up and left for Stresa where all the cafes were looking for business.
