"In this current day and age, where allergies are on the rise I was disappointed that the only main option I had was the chana daal!! They use the same oil to fry everything hence why no food was safe for me to eat, annoyed to say the least we had starters and left."

"This restaurant delivered a pizza to my house by mistake, the pizza was meant to be for a house, about four doors away from me. I was cooking BBQ food in the garden when there was a knock at the door, which my wife answered. Her son who was working upstairs, has takeaway food delivered at least three time a week. She accepted the delivery, thinking it was for him, she called out to him and he replied that he hadn't ordered anything. She asked me, I said no, of course not. I checked the delivery for signs of where it had come from of where it was supposed to be. There were no indications at all, no phone numbers, no restaurant name, no receipt and no delivery note. I said leave it there, they will come back when the mistake is spotted. 40 minutes went by and there was a knock at the door. A very angry man asking me if we had received a food delivery. He was the person who placed the order. I told him we had and explained what had happened. He calmed down a little, I asked him if he wanted the food, he said no, not now. It was then that I decided to compost the food and recycle the cardboard. 10 minutes later another knock and another angry person, this time from the restaurant. Again I explained what had happened but I got the impression he did not believe me, he walked away shaking his head, I asked him where had he and the food come from. He told me Plenty in Hampton. My initial thoughts were surprise, as I was busy cooking. However later I was angry. Angry that the restaurant gave out my number and angry that I was questioned by the manager/owner or whoever he was. Surely they should have printed a receipt or delivery note and surely giving out my address was very wrong."

"Stayed at the LHR Marriott for a night and wanted to try some local food. I had the garlic/chili shrimp as an appetizer and the lamb/mint burger as my entree. Both were super delicious and a great value for the taste and portion. I wanted to get in/out quickly so chose to order the food at the bar along with a beer. Doing this was a bit cumbersome as you can’t order food directly at the bar. There was a separate station where you placed your order. Thankfully the food was delivered to the bar and I was able to pay at the bar also. If you’re in town and near LHR airport, give this place a try."

"Let's start with the positives. 1. The decor was nice, spacious and open 2. Service was professional 3. Prices were ok. 4.food portions were huge and food was hot Now the problems. 1. We were a family of 4 with a toddler sitting in the restaurant area. The food took quite a while to arrive. 2. The chips were hot on the outside but hard and undercooked on the inside. 3. We were sitting right by a flat screen tv which was off to begin with. The football came on and 5 flat screens including the one next to us was turned on and the sound up to full blast. We asked 3 members of staff to either turn the one in the restaurant off or turn the sound off, all agreed yet no one did anything. We and our toddler had to sit and eat our meal surrounded by 5 screens of loud football on, we were unable to have a conversation because it was too loud, the man on the table next to us had his hand down his pants, the loud shouting was making my toddler jump, the doors were all closed and no air con on,on a hot day, this was compleately inappropriate in the family food section. I feel we wernt listened to, there were 4 other screens by the bar showing the football, I had to resort to putting cotton wool in my ears, and the atmosphere was horrible, it was a total waste of money, eventually we abandoned our meal and walked out! Sorry but I wouldn't totally reccomend this pub for family eatting."

"I have lived in Hanworth Village my entire life, and it's hard to believe that just a mile away in Lower Sunbury, there is a hidden gem called The Phoenix. The exterior of the restaurant doesn't do justice to the beautiful venue inside. The staff is excellent, the ambiance is perfect, and the garden overlooks the River Thames. Every visit to The Phoenix has been enjoyable, thanks to the exceptional food and reasonable prices. The hospitality and welcoming atmosphere make it a truly special place. If there was a 10-star rating, I would give it to this amazing pub. It is always busy, a testament to its popularity. The staff, including the chef, deserve all the compliments. The parking is easy and affordable, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes, with the Sunday Roast, Tapas, and Chicken Satay being highly recommended. Families with kids will appreciate the kid-friendly environment. Overall, The Phoenix stands out for its exceptional service, attention to detail, and upholding the tradition of a great British pub. Congratulations to the entire team for their hard work.
