The nicest Chinese takeaway we've had. We are visitors to the area and had a meal from here, consisting of beef chow mein, mushroom chow mein, tofu chilli pepper, chips and curry sauce. The food was delicious and very fresh hope to order again before we leave. With 3 Chinese food takeaway restaurants literally 20 mtrs apart.. So glad we picked the Apple Tree chicken prawn balls the best I've ever tasted. Infact every dish we ordered was very tasty. We always rate a Chinese on the quality of the prawn crackers fresh crisp yummy. Ordered special fried rice with sauce but came dry which ruined it for me. Too late to take it back as was staying 3 miles away. Basically just some roasted pork, 1 King prawn and a 1 or 2 tiny bits of chicken beef plonked on top . Roasted pork tasted horrible, soapy even. Others reported sweet sour sauce terrible. Chicken chow mein totally bland. Would not recommend this place and cannot understand why it was so busy (probably because new Hong Kong next door was shut! .
