Appleby's Torquay - Carta

Lovely place to have a drink and a bite to eat. There is an adults only area with comfy sofas to sit on and a pool table. They have inside/outside eating areas.

We are on holiday. Really enjoyed the evening as Simons band was great. Just spoilt a bit by students screaming round the pool table! Will visit again next time we are in Torquay if the jam band is on again.

Don't waste your time at this restaurant. After waiting at the bar for 10-15 minutes, two rude staff members refused to take my drink order and process my payment. I recommend going elsewhere to spend your money. Ver carta

What a fantastic place to go for breakfast , launch or evening meal.. I've tried a lot of their range and the boys I've been working with and everything is 100% .. the staff are very friendly and helpful.. I'd rate them ten stars if I could..

This bar was brilliant as I was in Torquay on holiday and I visited everyday as it was very friendly staff and overlooking the sea and a great terraced area to sit in the sun I will miss this bar and would return to Torquay to visit applebys again

Appleby's, located at the hotel I was staying in, is a bar with a mixed experience. During my evening meal, I was disappointed by the lack of hand-pulled beers and found the Katsu curry to be very ordinary. However, the following morning, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious bacon and egg sandwich served on fresh, high-quality bread. Overall, my experience at Appleby's was a game of two halves. we had seen several FB posts about appleby's Sunday dinner, so we thought we were immersed yesterday for a nice warm frying after a cool morning walk. I myself my wife had a roast burrito (something like a bark meat wellington, bark meat, stuffing horse rolled in a yorkshire pudding mix, as well as served with bratkartoffels a beautiful dripping gravure. and our daughter had a child roast. it was nice to eat a lot, good value for money, good waiter service a great modern turn on a good old Sunday roast. We ordered our breakfast at 09:45 along with tea and coffee. Initially, it was just us and one other family in the restaurant. However, as more people arrived, we noticed that they were being served before us. After waiting for 45 minutes, my husband went to check on our order. The waitress then informed us that the chef had not received our order and would not cook until he did. Frustrated, we finally received our breakfast at 10:50. We had asked for brown bread but received one white and one brown. At this point, we were too exasperated to care. Although not listed in an Internet search for gluten free eateries I can highly recommend Applebys and their lovely staff. I called in on spec on my way to the seafront and asked if a GF breakfast was available. It certainly was and what a breakfast. GF sausage wasn't available but I was offered an extra piece of bacon. I had so much perfectly cooked and yummy bacon it was coming out of me earroles. Various options for your eggs, I asked for scrambled which again came out perfectly cooked at least 2. Baked beans (I do love beans on a full English), hash brown, tomato, mushroom all served on an oval plate. Oh, and two pieces of fresh gluten free toast and butter too. Normally I would only eat...
