Archie's - Carta

Sadly I don’t believe a place can count itself as vegan friendly if the only options available are normal meals “without this and that”. However the coffee was lovely and there were lots of vegan cakes and croissants.

Archie's has a nice ambience for meeting at lunch or for working. It serves all diets but has some good vegan options particularly the oat lattes and a vegan cheese kimchi toastie. Updated from previous review on 2021-04-11

The pastries at this restaurant are no longer vegan, as they are now labeled as containing dairy. The vegan cooked breakfast options are very basic, lacking scrambled tofu or vegan sausages. Additionally, the prices are very high considering the lack of variety in the menu. Ver carta

The new dinner menu at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. I was tempted to order everything on the menu and we ended up trying many dishes due to the enticing combinations. The food is not only tasty but also light and healthy. The atmosphere is great and the staff is very attentive and caring. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

Absolutely loved this place! We stopped off for a quick bite to eat and I honestly raved to my husband about their panko chicken tacos ALL afternoon! The food was just fabulous. I wish we were local so could go back more often. Service was spot on, the atmosphere was just right and the toilets were spotless which is always a lovely bonus!

I love Archie's as a fantastic neighborhood coffee shop and eatery. I visit daily and am thrilled that they now offer evening service. I have tried almost everything on the menu and particularly enjoy their vegan options. The dishes are made with fresh ingredients and are delicious. The menu featured a total of three vegan options: Avocado and Toast, the Green Breakfast, and the California Burrito. Intrigued by the unique combination of ingredients, we decided to try the Green Breakfast. Upon its arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the visually appealing dish which included spinach, mushrooms, hash browns, beetroot chutney, avocado, beans, toast, and on-the-vine tomatoes. Not only did it look amazing, but it also tasted delicious with its fresh and diverse flavors. The service was excellent, the pricing was fair, and the ambiance was lovely.

There aren't many vegan options at this restaurant, so I probably won't be coming back, but we had a fantastic brunch. I loved that they highlighted a variety of delicious vegetables without relying on meat substitutes. The California burrito was also delicious, although it could use a vegan option. Don't forget to ask for hot sauce. The food felt healthy and satisfying. There is plenty of nice seating both inside and outside, but we preferred the barstool seats by the windows in the plant-filled entrance room over the dining room near the kitchen. Upon entering this cafe, I was unsure of what to expect as I am new to the area. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by the lovely decor. The prices on the menu were a bit higher than I would typically like to spend on brunch, but the friendly service made up for it. They even gave my dog a treat and a water bowl! The food I ordered, nuevos rancheros, was delicious, but at $13.50, I felt it was a bit pricey. I wished it came with more tortillas to dip in the guacamole and refried beans.
