"I liked it very well! the food was wonderful and what I found totally sweet: I had ordered a suppe to the appetizer, my son (8) only a children's main dish. so that he could feed something with me, he got a small suppe extra in a pot. for me, the restaurants also makes jungle in the big city. "Bistroküche in gemütlich-modernem Ambiente. Die spezielle Raumanordnung gibt es häufiger in Eppendorf. Zwei zur Straße hin eigentlich getrennte Räume, die "hintenrum" verbunden sind. Hier wurde das so umgebaut, dass zwar die offene Bistroatmosphäre erhalten bleibt, aber mehrere Raumteilungen eine besondere Gemütlichkeit erzeugen.Draußen kann man auf einem sehr breiten Bürgersteig mit den hier üblichen schattenspendenden Bäumen auch gut sitzen. Die Erikastraße ist eine Einbahnstraße mit wenig Verkehr und lohnt sich auch wegen der Umgebung. Alster, viel Grün und der Eppendorfer Shopping-Wahnsinn.Brechtmanns hat eine (uns nicht bekannte) Vergangenheit in Scharbeutz. Dort müssen sie wohl gut "geübt" haben, denn die Qualität der Speisen ist einfach Spitze.Das ist erstklassige, gehobene Bistroküche. Mindestens so gut wie die Lehmwegkonkurrenz Küchenfreunde oder Henssler.Ja, es ist etwas teurer als eine der in der Umgebung zu kriegenden sehr guten 9-10-Euro-Pizzen. Die Qualität ist es mehr als wert. Und auch die Bandbreite der Speisekarte hat uns gefallen. Von einfachen (preisgünstigen) Snacks bis zu eher raffiniertem, kurz angebratenem Thunfisch.Salate und Süßes gibt's sowieso auch.Also, selbst mal hingehen; es gibt auch ein Mittagsangebot."

"we regularly visited the restaurant in the past (1 or 2 times per month.) unfortunately it was more and more common that the dishes were cold, not completely boiled or that the food itself was not in order: bad delivery of ham and incredibly spicy pimientos...de padrón, which caused the burn and problems for 2 days! this happened with at least two tables in the evening (as the delivery was bad) and after the first table had complained about it, they did not automatically tell us about it, but let us eat! they would have prevented the problems of the like for 2 days, but not. everything in all, if something went wrong, the owner never really apologised, offered no compensation and could not be less about the problems, which is why we decided to dig the restaurant of our list of places we regularly visit. the waitresses were usually very friendly and helped more than the owner who is a scandal. all in all: never again."

"Ich kann Mo nur empfehlen! Ich war das zweite Mal dort essen, diesmal waren wir zu viert und es hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt, wie auch beim ersten Mal. Man isst vielleicht auch mal etwas, das man nicht kennt oder nicht häufig bekommt und es ist einfach sehr wohlschmeckend und von guter Qualität. Noch dazu sieht es toll aus! Wenn man mehreres probieren möchte, kann es etwas teuer werden aber das muss es nicht. Das Personal ist freundlich und berät einen gerne. Die Location ist gemütlich, wobei relativ klein und das Klo vielleicht etwas dunkel aber stilecht. Die Stühle könnten vielleicht etwas bequemer sein aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau. Insgesamt top!"

"This is a tiny sushi bar in an area that food wise is mostly concerned with beer, shots, fat and carbs. Kampai is run by Japanese who know what a sushi bar should feel and taste like. You feel welcome and at home immediately (if there is free space no reservations taken). There is a limited menu, a cold beer, a very short wait, and then ... the sushi, decorated with a few nice touches ... the sushi rice is just perfect in taste, consistency and temperature; that plain salmon nigiri will simply melt in your mouth. Close your eyes, it's so good. What a find, what an oasis in this unlikely neighborhood! It's not a cheap eat, but wow this will enhance your mood by 100° and puts you back to hit the next club. Will be back."
