"Being lovers of Asian cuisine especially curry we visited here during our short stay and I have to say it was well worth it. This was the best value meal and best quality food we had whilst in Berlin. The restaurant is located on Revaler Strasse, next door to the Klassik Hotel and just a few hundred metres from Warschauer Strasse S Bahn Station. On the downside it is not much to look at with pine style bench seats inside and outside there was scaffolding up when we visited. In fact it was by accident that we found it.It was gone 2100 hours when we arrived so there was almost no one in the restaurant, so it was very peaceful, although the place is not too big.For starters we had a portion of Mixed Pakora(Euros 4.00) and a portion of Samosas(Euros 2.00). Both were almost main meals in themselves and were lovely. Prior to that we had a mixed pickle tray with poppadum's (Euros 2.00). There was only one poppadum each and it was very small. The assorted pickles and chutneys were very nice. For our main course we had a Chicken Jalfrezi and a Chicken Madras (both Euros 6.50), served up with a massive bowl of pilau rice which was complementary and included in the main meal price. What I would say is that both meals looked pretty much the same in that they were a very pale colour similar to a korma, pasanda or a butter chicken and when they first arrived we thought the worst. But in fact the taste was superb and you can forgive the colouring aspect. Two large glasses of wine and a large beer and the lot only totalled 28.50 Euros (less than £24).The gents toilets were like a bomb site and it looked like works were taking place. Good job I did not need a No 2 as there was no where to sit!!Overall we would recommend this restaurant and we will definitely return if visiting this location again. Vielen Dank."

A complete Vegetarian thali for 2 cost 15 euro but the thali was not for someone from South Asia trying Indian food. I would like a dedicated set. Rest was ok.

Since I stay at the Klassik hotel, this restaurant is right next door. Makes it great during the cold winter months in Berlin. Decent Indian food at very modest prices.

Indian cuisine, authentic and inexpensive. Located in F'hain on the corner towards the S-Bahn station Warschauer Stasse. Outside seating available. Fast and well tasting food. Inexpensive, especially for lunch. Try this place before exploring the Eastside Gallery!

The place and staff is nice but I think people come here mainly for the good Indian food at a very fair price. The service is usually fast. The place is in front of the clubs at the end of the railway bridge so on weekends it gets a bit noisy and more suitable for young people. I came here several times and I was always happy. I would recommend it.

The welcome here was nice, but the food is very bland, it does not taste 'Indian' or even of anything distinctive. I was very disappointed considering the mainly positive reviews. Also, the shabby neighbourhood which doubles as an open air drugs market might not appeal to all! As some have noted, the restaurant is also like a construction site, the decor is not finished at all, and there is no air conditioning, it was quite suffocating in there really.

We ate dinner at this wonderful restaurant last night as we found ourselves in the neighborhood and thought the menu and decor looked inviting. We could not have been happier with the results. The construction is done and for those who have read previous reviews the bathrooms are clean and private. The food was excellent, the portions huge, and the waitstaff friendly. We would definitely return again and feel fortunate to have lucked in to finding Asra.

Walked in with all the optimism of finding a good curry on our first day in Germany. Should have been put off by small tables, always a suspicious trademark. We moved inside to sit on a bigger table. The poor selection of liquors should have been our next clue. But optimism still prevailed. First out came the popadoms, possibly the worst popadoms I've ever had. Definitely not home made. 1/10Next came "bhaji-gate". An abomination of onion rings was presented to my pals. These floppy battered things looked like Freddy Mercury. I was offered Iceland Kerry Katona brand range chicken nuggets; sold to me as chicken pakoras. All the starters came with budget salad and a garlic sauce which should hav...

It is placed just next the Klassik Hotel in Revaler Straße, 30 metres away the crossing with Warschauer StraßeWe ate a chicken with potatoes (plus rice and salad that are offered by the restaurant). All dishes are prepared just only when the order is received (We waited about half an hour and I considered this as positive). The dishes were very copious and the taste was very good. We spent 5€ for chicken and 2€ for a 0.3l beer. The restaurant is very clean, the waiters are very kind.I think that the ratio quality/price is very high. You can eat very well and have a good dinner at a price of fast food; Finally if you are looking for a good restaurant near at a cheap price it is the the right pl...
