"We were recommended by our wine tour guide as I commented that after two weeks in Europe I needed an Asian fix. We arrived at 7.45 for our 8.00pm booking only to be told to come back in 15 minutes when they opened! I don't...think I've ever known a Resteraunt to open at 8.00pm.....but I am in France! Anyway, after returning 15 minutes later, and there are no bars or anything close, as this is really in a back street, we were seated. From here everything proceeded as most other reviewers describe. The waiter told us the chef would be with us shortly to discuss our meal and so he was. He spoke perfect English and took the time to discuss our meal. The food was very good. It failed to scale the culinary heights I'd hoped for but it was still very good. There was little heat which I suspect is to suit the French palette but the dishes were interesting, well spiced and very creative. We started with steamed prawn dumplings and chicken bang bang which could have had more bang bang for my palette. We followed with duck and fish. Both very enjoyable but not hot as one may expect from the schewan roots of the owner. In all, I'd recommend this Resteraunt. Good wine list although somewhat less availability that I'd like but I took a Puligny Montrachet on the advice of earlier reviewer. The wine was a standout."

Tommy Shan is world-famous for his eclectic Asian food. He will come out and ask what kinds of things you like and make up a menu for you. The actual restaurant has no pretense of great decor, but the food and Tommy himself are a...must if you like Asian cuisine. We weren't thrilled by the guitarist who plays and sings French songs, but go early enough and you'll miss that.

we have together a beautiful meal together. we already knew this restaurant: there are fewer possibilities to choose from the menu, but they might have a hard time to decide. yes, it can not be for everyone, especially money-wise, but it is worth definitiv. the test. it is tasty, with many different aromas and good wine to accompany their meal. the owner comes to her table to help them and explain how to make meals. all in all, would recommend if they can afford to go in any case for it.

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. My wife and I have eaten here several times and we've never been disappointed. The decor is simple and somewhat minimalistic, but the service is excellent, and the food is simply incredible. the wine list is long...with wines from every region of France as well as a few other European countries at a wide range of prices. The tasting menu is highly recommended. Prices are quite reasonable given the exceptional quality of the food. You will probably need reservations for Fridays or Saturdays.

in bordeaux at a high time of london at our last night we wanted Chinese. reviews were top notch and from we went. parking, a serious problem in bordeaux, here was very easy. against the rest of us were three of us, all mother tongue French, but. owner wanted to practice his English and we fulfill. we had: cut pork dip with crevettes st jacques shezuan style huhn steamed rice pfirsich cake with whipped cream water tee was all very good, I tasted another kind of Chinese cuisine, even unlike soho restaurants that are already very good. expensive for francs, € 140.

we visited this restaurant on recommendation, as it was opened at 8.00 a.m. the charming English-speaking waitress (florence) greeted us and then led us to the chef and the owner (tommy shan.) within a few minutes came in and immediately. the atmosphere was set for a delightful evening. tommy pulled a chair up to our table and went through the menu, recommended certain Sichuanaise dishes for which we decided. florence was the perfect waitress in every wise, the meal was a selection of different portions on the table dotted, was incredible and the wee that had proposed tommy was ideal. Toward the end of the evening, tommy entertained us in the background with excellent classic gitarre. we rat...

I first went to this restaurant about seven years ago, and was struck then by the imagination and quality of the dishes. I'm pleased to report that it is very bit as good now as it was then, We decided to have the tasting menu...and had chosen what we would like, but then the chef came along, pulled up a chair and advised us on what he thought we might like, and I'm very glad he did. This is Chinese food as I have never had it elsewhere in a resturant unusual combinations of food, fairly spicy in parts, and entirely delicious. The room we were in doesn't seem to have changed at all since I was here last spartan is probably the politest way to describe it. However, we weren't there for the de...

This Sichuan restaurant was warmly recommended to us by a friendly wine seller in Saint-Emilion 2 or 3 years ago... We needed to book well in advance in this unique restaurant, where the best Chinese food in town could be found and the wine pairing...with spicy food was astonishing... We never forgot such a positive recommendation. We finally found the opportunity to be there a couple of years later with great expectations. What a disappointment: 1- Approx. 40% of the wine list was marked by a little star meaning out-of-stock 2- The wine we were served had gone a bit musty. 3- The quantities were much too small (e.g. 4 bites of fish for my main course). 4- Knowing Sichuan cuisine classics, I...
