A restaurant well located next to the cathedral but with a discreet entrance. it is advisable to book a few days in advance. good service, good food and good atmosphere.

Great meal. We tried several dishes, including the pork knuckle with saurkraut, salmon and noodles, and Caesar salad, all of which were great. The only item that I probably would not order again was the onion soup. Service was friendly and English was spoken, however, the menu was only available in French and German. Pricing was fair (about $30 usd per person), particularly considering its location very near the cathedral.

I am an Escargot fan. I try the snails whenever I can, while I'm in Europe. I've tried escargot in Spain, France and my favorite, Bistro Nuef in Amsterdam. Last night, was the winner. Escargot, rich with butter and parsley as the sauce for an excellent pasta. This was a creative dish and a 10!. Can't wait to have it again. PS: The female host/server was a 10 as well. A very helpful, pleasant person, explained everything to me and was very welcoming.

Very nice address, a brasserie ideally located, at the foot of the cathedral while remaining quiet. We tasted the gratinated and mushroom tarte flambée for 3 p.m. and we enjoyed it. So we made a reservation for the next day at noon and ordered 2 local menus. Onion tart, braised shank, minced meat, scoop of ice cream. Everything was very good condition generously served. A very good brewery to keep in mind. Simple and effective with excellent value for money.

Made reservations which we observed signifies in which area of the restaurant you are seated. Very welcoming and in English. My husband and I both ordered Asparagus soup which we both found to need more emulsion and seasoning, there was no salt. Bottle of wine was great. My salmon with Reisling sauce was okay, again needed seasoning, the sauerkraut was okay. My husband had the sea bass with 3 filets on top of sweet potatoes seasoned with ginger, not knowing what to expect and it was just okay. So while we didn’t feel the food was the best, the service was great and attentive.

Our visit to the Au Dauphin restaurant was an absolute highlight of our stay in Strasbourg. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The furnishings are typically Alsatian and exude a cozy authenticity that completes the experience. Eat: We had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes: Wiener Schnitzel, pork knuckles with spaetzle, chicken Gordon Bleu and a cheeseburger. Each dish was superbly prepared, the flavors were perfectly balanced and the presentation was attractive. We would particularly like to emphasize the quality of the ingredients you can taste the freshness and care that goes into every dish. Service: The service was impeccable...
