"I arrived at the hotel quite late and the moment I walked in the room I noticed the unmistakable aroma of sewage. I immediately reached out to Geoff via WhatsApp as he had asked me to do if I needed anything and politely asked if there was another room available that I could switch to. It was about 11pm. His response to this was suggest I find another hotel to stay in. I told him I was already in bed and would prefer to stay put (almost midnight now) but he responded by saying, “Im sorry but you will not be staying at the auberge”. He then sent me his location, told me to wait outside on the patio, and said he was driving from Nice to pick me up and take me back to Nice with him in his car. This is a man mind you who I had never met. For context I am from the US and speak very little French, don’t have a cellular plan in France, and traveled to the hotel on foot (also I had previously mentioned to Geoff that I was traveling by foot). A hotel that is in the middle of nowhere and a good 1 hour 45 minutes by foot (my mode of transport) to the nearest town that would have a hotel with an attendant past midnight. My options as I saw it were: 1. Stay in the room and try to argue with a man who I didn’t know, didn’t seem rational, and had just driven 20 minutes in the middle of the night to evict me. 2. Pay for an extremely expensive taxi at that time of night and location to somewhere else to stay which I hadn’t budget for. 3. Take a chance riding to a strange city in a strangers car who again didn’t seem rational. 4. Walk the 1 hour 45 minutes to Monaco where a hotel would cost significantly more money. I chose option 4, leaving before Geoff could get to my room to avoid any possible altercation and arrived at my new hotel by foot, walking down pitch black roads and even steep gravel pathways down to mountain from Eze to the coast. I arrived at 2:09am. I got a message later from Geoff stating that there was jasmine in the room and I was likely mistaking the smell of jasmine flowers for sewage. This was almost laughable had it not been such a long day. Do not stay here and if you do, do not bring up any problem with your room to Geoff!"

This restaurant is closed. Don’t come here anymore. The only alternative on the Grande Corniche is restaurant Hermitage.

Correcto. La habitación esta bien aunque nuestra llavo no iba. La ubicación lo único especial del sitio con una terraza preciosa.

That was a pleasure to spend our long weekend in that hostel. Jeff and Kenny are very welcome and patient to explain us interesting locations to visit. The point of vue is amazing! The breakfast (in option for 10€ per person) is healthy and very complete. The Jeff cappuccino is a good speciality of that house. Rooms are clean and lovely. Very glad to know that address !

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! There were multiple bugs, stains on the walls, and absolutely terrible accommodations. The place also looks like a run-down shack, definitely nothing like the pictures. The owner was exceptionally rude to my partner and I. Our reservation was in mid-April, so this is a very recent encounter. I am not sure about the other prior reviews but I can guarantee this place has really gone downhill. There are much better places in Southern France.

staying very close and this restaurant was in the literature left by the owners. didn't book just turned up early evening for supper . the indoor restaurant was packed with an America tour which in itself was quite amusing. The service was slow but then we didn't mind it's all part of the experience if you want fast food go to McDonald's ! The wine list was excellent we went for a very nice alsace sparkling which at €21 a bottle is very reasonable. The starter of sardines was pretty good . we were talked into the beef for two at €60 which I have to say was excellent along with the vegetables and polenta side dish. The beef was massive , well cooked and served with pride from the owner Geoff...
