We came here on a very hot Saturday speaking very little French. The staff couldn't have been nicer, the terrace couldn't have been more comfortable, and the food couldn't have been more creative or better tasting. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

We booked this restaurant four days in advance to enjoy a night by the water for our wedding anniversary (my husband went there in person and made the reservation). When we arrived, there was no table reserved by the water, an unattractive one next to the entrance was offered and the manners of the waiter were quite rude. We returned to Compiegne where we live and enjoyed a beautiful night in our favorite restaurant which was full but the staff was accommodating and had the very best intentions.

Perles aux ecressives 3 ou 4 ecrevisses perdues ds les perles) suivi d'une piece de boeuf ou filet de dorade avec cuisson parfaite, bref une cuisine fraiche avec un service en salle aimable ; Vins au verre intéressant

This made an overnight stop in Compienne, the highlight of the holiday. Tucked away on the river bank out if sight of passing tourists. Warm welcome from chef/owner who trained for some time in Ireland so speaks fluent English, Over his shoulder much activity Inn the kitchen where his team were busy prepping for the evening. There was the chef one table available . On arrival the chef explained the menu as there is not an English one. What a delight so many interesting combinations. Our starters, main and desserts were all superb. Wine list spoiled for choice for all price ranges. We will be BAC!!!
