Auberge De La Beursaudière

Whilst on a cycling holiday this 2 night stay at this eclectic hotel was lovely. Very accommodating and helpful staff and a fantastic ambiance. Delicious food and drink. Would highly recommend it.

we were greeted by the personal in authentic outfit. super delicious dinner with a bottle of fantastic white wine. the restaurant is located in an unsightly village, but we were very happy with the recommendation of the tourist office in chablis

The food as usual was excellent but the young staff surpassed themselves on this visit. It is very encouraging to see young people with commitment and the ability to be very professional at a young age. Congratulations to the young lady who served us but...also to her colleague, who we saw on her debut a few months ago, who has grown into her roll ver successfully.

While the menu is not huge, we had no trouble finding three nights' dinner of local farm and seafood specialities that were generous in portion and delicious. The Burgundian wine choices were well priced and numerous. The restaurant decor was lovely and we only wish...it had been warm enough to eat on the garden patio. The service was friendly and professional.The restaurant was filled with locals who had driven quite a distance for an exceptional meal.

we visited this restaurant for lunch after the kovid19 had been lifted a bit. the restuarant insisted that we wear masks to enter the restuarant, we could then remove the masks at the table. we sat for over 30 minutes before our drinks and food order. half an hour was too long. we are ordered cote de boeuf for 3 persons. the wee was very average heartburn red the bark was 5*. do not complain about eating, but unfortunately the service and wait to leave the restaurant down. the waiter deliberately avoided eye contact, although it was obvious that our order had not been taken. Maybe it was because we speak English, although all 3 of us speak perfect French.

We had gone to the Sunday market in Chablis but didn't fancy any of the restaurants there so phone the Bersaudiere and were lucky enough to get a table. The building is so-oo beautiful, in a region not short of fine buildings, and we felt...privileged to be enjoying a meal in the high space with wooden beams, with lots of other local diners. Lots of different menus, so lots of choice and served fairly promptly, which was impressive when the room was completely full. Our fish came with fennel and peas (hooray, proper vegetables while the pork was in rhubarb sauce, which our friend thought less successful, nor did she like the Poire Helene much, finding it too dry. At the risk of repeating myself, and because we cannot return to the UK without visiting Le Beursaudiere'. We have been here between forty and fifty times now and we still look forward to our visit on our return to the UK. All though the...staff has change over the years, with new blood coming and going, there is still the nucleus of original staff and that is very reassuring. The food has change slightly also, particularly the accompanying vegetables for the good. The dishes vary seasonally and there are always the tried and tested regulars. All in all we will continue to visit Le Beursaudiere for it's food and wine, staff, ambience and uniqueness and value for money. Thank you to all that...

that was my second visit within a week. the first visit was ok. but the second was quite terrible. we sat outside when there was one crash. I had ordered an expensive chablis premier cru, we had to hurry inside, but it was possible to save the premier cru bottle, but not the rainwater flooded jars. no help from the personal. a glass, a complementary wine (not premier cru) would have been hospitable, but no wine, no sympathy, no help. we had chosen the most expensive fixed menu and the premier cru. the food was the second price amateur. we choose halibut very small portions, but well cooked, but the only additional element was badly cooked lauchs hard and stringy not edible. also the pudding...

this visit to la beursaudiere was our first for two years due to the pandemic of Covid-19. we were concerned for the employees and owners during Covid-19, but it seems that la beursaudiere has been through with flying colors. obviously we do not know and cannot understand how difficult the two years are. from today's experience, the employees and the owners applauded for overcoming the many hardships they must have. as usual, we do not know in advance how busy the restaurant would be. when we arrived, there were some new faces, but also some well-known faces. the menu had shrunk, but the quality had not. the service was better if that is possible. that was all we had expected and missed. pre...
