Auckland Arms - Carta

Blocked at front door by a gate!!!! Told no room at the inn but there clearly was. Took our money where it was wanted. Had two lovely nights in the Liverpool Arms ext door.

Upon opening the door around 10pm there was a small wooden bar preventing us from getting in. A member of staff had to physically unlock it before we were allowed in. Some sort of vetting process? Unsure why……

An excellent landlord who knows his stuff on drinks. He makes amazing cocktails at a good pric. There is a vast array of spirits and craft beer. He has about 60 bourbons and gins. Its a proper pub , dont except anything fancy.

We had a fantastic evening at the restaurant. Ady and Sam made the night incredible. The welcome was the best, the cocktails were fantastic, and the atmosphere, chat, and comfort were all top-notch. We definitely plan to revisit this place.

Very subjective to who he lets in to his establishment. You want to hope that there is a female in your group as otherwise I wouldn’t bother. Arrogant and self important landlord. Wouldn’t be able to give you a valid reason to your “not tonight sorry” if he tried. Ver carta

Visited last night when visiting a friend. We all agreed the cocktails were the best we had had- what a selection and some great recommendations! The landlord is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate. The staff in the pub were really friendly and the atmosphere amongst others around just fabulous. So glad we walked in and not past….. and will be back soon. A fabulous pub.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times since the lockdowns ended and each time, I have been impressed with the quality of the drinks. The selection of cocktails and gins is fantastic. The owner's passion and expertise in cocktails is evident, as he consistently makes excellent drinks. The atmosphere of the pub is cozy and traditional, rather than a modern cocktail bar. There is a wide variety of cocktails to choose from, with options to upgrade to premium spirits for an additional cost. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great cocktail experience.

We went to the Auckland arms on Sunday, as part of my dads 60th birthday celebration. We chose the pub because it was dog friendly, but we were really lucky to stumble across it. We were asked if we were interested in looking at the cocktail menu, there was a huge selection so we ended up trying them. Well, they tasted incredible! The man who made the cocktail really took pride in them, and came over to speak to us about them. They were just as good (probably better) than any bar I’ve been to in city centre Manchester. He was lovely, and we really enjoyed our visit and was really surprised. What a hidden gem! Ver carta
