"This is fast becoming one of my favorite lunch restaurants in the greater Toulouse area. It is located in the charming old part of Blagnac. Service is attentive and it seemed they remember us even though it had been months. Recommend going at noon if you can and being one of the first at lunch. It is easy to enjoy the ambiance with its big great room, which is warmed by the big chandeliers, stone and open fire pit over which your food is cooked. The daily specials include a meat, fish and chicken option along with good entrees. The house maison cocktail with champagne and a cherry is delightful. The wine list is plenty including good options by the glass and demi bottlesThe meal begins with some toasted bread and tapenade as an amuse bouche. Some reviews suggest the portion is small. I disagree, they are plenty bountiful but thankfully it is not an over abundancehThe demi chicken was fantastic today. The fish is usually light and done just right. The pork which my husband had was undercooked for my taste but that is often typical in France. Just let them know how you want it cooked. They aim to please here. the veggies and rice on the side were delicious and slightly inventive. I have had the deserts here and they are just okay. I am usually so full but often am tempted to get one to share. I would skip the desert next time. This is definitely one of my more favorite lunch restaurants in all of the Toulouse area."

Under previous management this restaurant used to offer duck grilled on an open fire. No longer but the quality and food are at a very high standard.

We were pleasantly surprised when visiting here, good food at a reasonable price even if the set menu was a little limited. Having said that, everybody managed to choose something different, all of which was cooked as ordered Ver carta

What a pity. Great food. The chef must be a wizzard. Nice atmosphere. But at the end, when it comes to payment, the menu of € 29,50 is for the amount of the separate courses (i.e for € 25 more)! on the bill! Again a tourist trap. Only a "sorry, I will never do it again". No little symphatic gesture like "we offer you the coffee or the wine". Nothing.I think the chef deserves a better patron ....

Having always wanted to visit this restaurant, we decided to celebrate my husband's birthday here. Although the setting is good the food was very disappointing. My starter was luke-warm soup with little taste. Main course - tepid fish and cold vegetables on a very hot plate. The dessert was unmemorable. Fortunately my husband's food was warmer and had more flavour. We will stick to our usual restaurants in Blagnac next time.

The restaurant is spacious and modern but nice and has a big barbeque grill in one corner of the restaurant room - here you can watch the preparation of the beef and fish. The food is fine and a little bit extraordinary - definitely something to try, if you are around in Blagnac. The staff is supportive and courteously, surprisingly our waiter spoke also German language - helpful to understand the menu (English menu is available too).Overall I can truly recommend this restaurant and will come back for sure next time in Toulouse. Went to the Autan des Saveurs with a few work colleagues for dinner.the restaurant was nicely laid out and spacious. The staff were very friendly. Not sure if they had English menus or not but we made do with a little help.I had the Foie Gras starter which was fine, I then shared the Cote Boeuf with one of my colleagues. It was a large piece of steak, which I would expect for €68, but was really quite fatty. Not sure what they did to the mash potatoes, sort of whipped up into a frothy cream, which made them really bland. All in all, my hopes were high, but in the end, although ok, I was a little disappointed considering the relatively high cost.

With only 4 days in town and so many good restaurants....we chose to return to Autan. The ambience inside is my favorite for seating. Watch them grill on the open flame, enjoy the stone walls, and spacious room. Service was good. Food very good. Nice options for appertif bubbly drinks, good appetizer selection and a number of options for the lunch prix fix menu...fish, poultry or meat or..veggie options often available too. Excellent noisette (espresso with a dash of cream - like a machiatto). Afterwards, pop over to the old brick church or saunter to the nearby wine store. Nice lunch option in old Blagnac! We come with friends or and colleagues when in town.

"We were interested in trying Le Cantou as it as it is described as a country manor house in the middle of the Toulouse Airport and Airbus complex. The write up could not be more descriptive as you drive into the parking area and are swallowed up by a beautiful green garden with a large ancient country manor home. The location is beautiful and other than the occasional airplane landing nearby, the ambiance was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and were able to communicate with us in both English and French and they actually tried to help improve our French when we spoke with them. The meal started with a very nice amuse bouchée, although my photo did not workout well. It was an Mousse de fois gras over a confiture du fraise. For our entrees Jo Ann had the Grilled Scallops, Cream of zucchíní with garlíc, candied onions bell, sesame shortbread, fried chilli. For my entree I had the Grilled Quail Fillets, «focaccía», chorizo cream, roasted carrots, picked peppers and chocolate meat juices. Both entrees were outstanding. For our main plat Jo Ann had the Roasted Lamb, lentils with bacon, Smoked Burrata Cream, Green Beans wrapped with lardons, in a thyme juice. Her only “complaint” was that the meat was somewhat over cooked for our tastes so it seemed a little dry. For my main plat I had the Stewed Veal Shank (at a low temperature), mashed potatoes with garlic confit, fresh vegetables in a red wine sauce. This was a very tasty meal. Our wine for the meal was a Demi bottle of Chateau Haut Gléon 2013. It was a nice afternoon wine although it was a little dry for Jo Ann.Dessert consisted of Strawberry Parfait, homemade strawberry ice cream with a mélange of fresh berries, Chantilly cream and strawberry sorbet for Jo Ann. My dessert was the Dessert du jour, a very flavorful fresh dessert with fresh melons and strawberries, a Meringue and speculoos ice cream. We followed this up with a wonderful expresso coffee, the restaurant offers four different brands ranging from a strong Brazilian expresso to a more mild lightly roasted coffee. We of course took the stronger flavored coffee."
