After the question of “avocado mare” and “sandwich” several times an employee finally admitted that it is not sold out, it is only not in stock though it advertised!

to time, the bakery series can be quite decent for vegans; other paints it is black coffee and broth rolls. if it is available, it is quite decent for a chain bakery. the sun-dried tomato and avocado sandwiches are good in the morning, but dry when it has been there all day. the vegan scavenger rolls are good, but difficult to get.

Backwerk's quality isn't great, let's not fool ourselves. However, I love the fact that they do offer a couple of vegan products, such as a sandwich with mock-chicken, a falafel-hummus wrap or a sandwich with dried tomatoes. They are clearly labeled vegan and you can see that veganism is on the rise because even places like Backwerk start to cater to vegans.

Went in to see whether they had the vegan börek (vegan pastry which spinach filling) and they did! It was cheap and delicious. I tried it before at BackWerk in Lubljana so I was happy to find it again here. All the products show a list of what they contain in German, so if you can't speak/read German you could look up the words for eggs and milk or ask someone to help.
