"We booked for a group of 12 and got the enormous table at the end of the restaurant next to a panoramic window and a roaring log fire, surrounded by wood-panelled walls decorated with homely antiquities. There was a welcoming farmhouse feeling about this place. The food was all local fare and excellent, the sciatt starter was the best I've ever tasted and should not be missed. We followed with fresh tagliatelle and porcini mushrooms and a venison raviolo, a wonderful combination of flavours. The main dishes were polenta and venison, or thick carved rare roast beef with vegetables. The venison was so tender that it melted in the mouth and the polenta was the perfect accompaniment. I tried a little of the roast beef and it too was delicious, but by this time I was starting to feel rather full as the portions were generous, so generous that we all skipped the cheeses and went straight to the delicious sorbetto to help digest the feast before finishing with coffee. The food was washed down with the local house red served in carafes, a very enjoyable tipple and perfect for the meal. All in all, a wonderful experience and great atmosphere in the company of friends and family. Ezio took care of everything... Italian hospitality at it's best!"
