"Called in here by chance, although I've lived in Walmer for nearly 30 years I've never been in and I was pleasantly surprised. My husband an myself just wanted a coffee but after looking at the menu decided on a toastie which was lovely, the coffee was also very nice and I decided to take away a slab of cheese and onion bread and some iced buns, all of which was very tasty. It was good value for money and I will definitely return. Thanks bandstand bakery :"

Friendly, polite, welcoming and helpful staff. Many lovely, tasty enormous cakes and pastries to choose from. Daily baked bread is delicious.

A lovely little bakery, lovely bread etc baked on the premises, as well as various delicious pies pasties, they also do some lovely dine in meals.

Busy local bakery with fresh bread and pastrys. Popular with the locals. It has a small seating area aoutside adjacent to the kerb. Had a very nice Cornish Pastry here.

I stopped by this restaurant on my way back from shopping just to grab a quick coffee and pick up some fresh bread. The staff was very friendly and it was a great place to chat.

Was a lucky find. You can eat your toast here and take a loaf home with you. Always a good place to stop for a tea and cake or something more filling all year round. Really nice owners who remember your face and will always chat a while.

Very friendly establishment we had a breakfast bap and poached egg on toast served outside with our dog, then two lovely cakes including a Belgian bun the size of Belgium on our return from town. A great little find we will be back tomorrow!

This is aptly named Bandstand Bakery as it is across the road from the bandstand and is a bakery selling fresh bread,cakes and pies,however there are three or four tables inside where one can sit and have a freshly cooked breakfast and fresh it is and also cheap and good value for money I would recommend this little cafe.

Most reviews are about the bakery and its fresh range of bread and cakes. But you can also order a breakfast or, pie or omelette off the menu, with tea or coffee or a drink from the fridge. By November, all the customers were local and known to the family running the Bandstand named after the place where bands play on the green. Do not visit too late for a proper lunch as this is a bakery and been at work since dawn.
