"Every year, I take three of my friends on a golf tour. Our requirements are simple: classic, well-designed golf courses, comfortable accommodations, and curry on a Monday night. After playing a round at the historic old links in Machrihanish, we needed something to warm us up besides whisky. We took the courtesy bus from the Ugadale Hotel and Suites to the Bangladesh Tandoori in Campbeltown. The restaurant, though not aesthetically pleasing, welcomed us with a warm smile from one of the family members who run the place. We brought our own drinks since the restaurant is unlicensed, but there was no corkage charge. The food, especially the spicy kebabs, was delicious and served with fluffy garlic naan. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, leaving only the optional salad garnish behind. Despite the uninspiring decor, the friendly service and excellent food made for a great dining experience. This is a perfect spot for curry-loving golfers looking for good value and attentive service."

Fanastic food, utterly fantastic food. Brilliant service and once again fantastic food. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

I am a frequent customer of this restaurant. They serve the best curry in town. The staff is kind and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I have never been disappointed with my dining experience here.

After reading the reviews, we decided to check out this restaurant despite its unusual entrance. We were greeted warmly at a charming, small restaurant with incredible food at reasonable prices. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Vegetable pakora dry, crumbly and tasteless. Chicken pakora rubbery. Chicken obviously frozen both for pakora and main meals. Curry sauce bland. Basically threw the meal in the bin. If you are looking for a freshly cooked tasty curry go elsewhere Ver carta

Excellent staff. I can’t eat dairy and the staff went out of their way to make sure my meal was dairy-free. I also wanted a milder curry and they did me one especially. We both thought our food was incredibly tasty and the portions were generous.

Food was outstanding. Service was quick and friendly. I thoroughly recommend the main honey la piaza amazing. My friend had a jalfrezi he said that was excellent too. As others have mentioned before it's a non licensed restaurant but you can bring your own.

Disgusting reheated junk! Ordered a munchie box millions of chips, couple of onion rings, couple of chicken nuggets…. Everything else was very disappointing, kebab meat that has been reheated over and over and dried out to a tinder, the chicken tikka was cooked earlier in the year and reheated it seems, genuinely like beef jerky! Disappointed very much! Ver carta

I was pleasantly surprised to find this Campbeltown restruant, the place was busy with take aways, well set tables, with clean walls and coloured ceiling lights gave a good atmosphere. Food was well prepared and tasty, price was very reasonable. The entrance was ramped and would have taken a wheelchair, staff were pleasant and cheerful. My only criticism was one toilet floor ,could have been cleaner, the handrier worked well.

Following a number of beers in The Black Sheep, we decided to go for a curry, this restaurant was highly recommended to us and we were not disappointed. Not the easiest to find and the entrance area and stairs are a bit shabby. Friendly and helpful staff soon had us seated and we all enjoyed a delicious selection of starters and curries. A very enjoyable evening and meal. We would all recommend eating here and will return on our next visit to Campbeltown.

"On our last day here, killing time before the ferry, decided to try luncheon here. No expectations either way. And we were TOTALLY wowed it was just excellent. Trying not to put too many superlatives in this review, but it was really, really ace. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the harbour where you could see dog walkers, children in wellies, crabbing, and little boats coming and going. Classic Islay. Then I have to mention the food. Jeez, it was top notch, and huuuuuuuge portions. I don’t think we’ve ever had four such consistently generous and fulfilling portions before. We had the scallops (massive, juicy, plentiful , the Crofter’s Platter, which was cheeses, hams, sausage rolls, salad, bread, chutneys; the soup massive bowl, loadsa crispy sourdough bread, and the fish and chips which was so big it draped over the plate! All delicious. Our guy, Andrew, was superb, so attentive and smiley and always bringing us more things, spoons, drinks, more bread, spoons, he was great. And we had a lovely chat with the very friendly and nice proprietor. She was wonderful. Really seemed to care about the place and her team. She told us all about the hotel and stuff it was really cool. We will most certainly come back here next time. You can’t necessarily get the best table every time, but we won’t mind if we don’t! : Oh, also, lovely clean loos!"
