Bar Boulud at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

Great atmosphere, good service. EXCELENT Burgers. The best in London. Have been there many times after I read AA Gill's review many years ago.

This was luxury dining within the Mandarin Oriental hotel; much better than neighbour Tiffany Blue Box cafe inside Harrods. French food great inc lovely souffle. Service brilliant. Surroundings/decor lovely.

The Bar Boulud pre-theatre menu is a real find. The food is amazing, I don't know how they can ever make any money on this menu 26.00 pounds for a set 3 course meal with tea or coffee. Unlike most preset menus, the food quality here is superb, well done BB!! Ver carta

We had a fantastic evening meal here. The menu is a little random but I could not fault the food we had. It was really well cooked and presented. The waiting staff were friendly and funny and recommended excellent wines to accompany our meal. I will definitely be returning.

Another birthday lunch thoroughly enjoyed at bar boulud . Greeted with smiles from the moment our car was valet parked to being greeted in the restaurant and served by the most delightful staff , who were very knowledgeable, helping us to make wonderful wine and food choices . Excellent restaurant,on the ground floor of the Orientat mandarin hotel in Hyde park . French cuisine at its best ,beautiful environment. Leaving the frenetic loud city behind you,once you enter the restaurant you go in a luxurious tranquil environment. Do not miss out on the opportunity to try the onion soup ! Bar Boulud is a strange name for a rather good Restaurant serving very well cooked french food across the road from Harvey Nicks. Had never thought of going into try the fare but rather fortunately popped in for an afternoon rendezvous and must say we were very pleasantly surprised. We had the three course set menu which included coffees and at only £26 per person, a veritable bargain in this part of London. Recommended.

We went to this restaurant and whilst waiting for our table we sat at the bar for some cocktails. Their high chairs were wooded and one of the chairs was splintered and a big piece scratched my leg and tore my clothing. I pointed this out to a manager and was not offered even a free drink just an apology. Also the ladies toilets were poorly maintained as there was no toilet paper or hand towels and not very clean. Overall experience was not good and will not be visiting there again.

Bar Boulud is my go to choice when I’m craving a reliable dining experience of classics perfectly executed and comparatively priced for the neighbourhood. It’s the ideal place to have up your sleeve to call for a last minute reservation before dropping in with your other half, friends or even on your own perched at the bar. They have an extremely versatile menu of classic French and American dishes including some of the best burgers in town (the Frenchy and Yankee burger are real stand out), a great steak tartare, a strong seafood selection (the grilled octopus and cod being worthy of mention), salads you will not regret ordering, freshly baked bread and truly excellent French fries (harder...
