Simple choice of typical basque dishes. Very tasty and very good. Salt cod omelet and lemon tart very nice. Home made fries as well all the other dishes. Ver carta

A typical local favourite with traditional food, artisan local beverage and good service. We had a great lunch, simple food and everything was fresh with a good taste.

We went there with family - need to be booked - and the food was gorgeous. All were basque specialties with local wine and aperitif. Service was quick and efficient. Really good ambiance also at the bar.... Ver carta

Basque cuisine prepared by a nice cooking family team. Owners are nice people. Always busy. A great place to discover the old Bayonne for lunch. You can either eat inside or outside on the Rue des Basques but avoid the pigeons...

Very popular with the locals so be there early to get a table. We had salad and omelette which were excellent. The omelette was made with the famous Bayonne jambon (ham) and the salad was a huge simple green salad. I noticed that many of the dishes were served with generous serves of French fries, we opted for salad.

We walked down Rue des Basques to watch them filming something. It was a Basque band and all were dressed in the white suites and red berets and scarves. Loud cheerful music but take after take!! We'd walked past the Bar du Marché and as it was lunchtime decided to go in. We were lucky that we got a table immediately. The place was full of locals and buzzing. We decided on a steak haché which came pink as requested and great home cooked chips. The other meal was Basque black pudding served with apples and mash. They served a complimentary bowl of green salad, nicely dressed and as fresh as could be. We had a carafe of rosé. Nice experience and friendly and efficient staff. We went back a sec... Ver carta
