"Amazing service, all the staff are knowledgeable about the menu, the wine and the restaurant. My family were made to feel welcome and valued. The portions are very generous and flavours rich and thorough. I had the white bait to start which was glorious followed by the steak, mushroom and ale pie. I am not joking I could have wedged open my bedroom door with it! It was massive but not over the top at all. I was full up and left feeling like a king. Needless to say I also guzzled down a bottle of red. The American Merlot. Went really well with the meal. Finally I need to reiterate how amazing the staff were. Those who served us were friendly and chatty in a natural way (no fakeness here) but also the staff that didn't serve us that were walking by etc always met our eye contact with a smile and aura of helpfulness. Support your local restaurants people and remember to tip in kind. Xx"

"This is a hidden gem. The customer serivce was above and beyond. They made us feel easy and at home. The scones and ice cream are truly unique. The cheese scone was amazing with the salsa. The fruit scones was light with just the right amount of fruit in the scone served with jam and clotted cream was delicious. Both were very good portion sizes. The coffee ice cream is creamy coffee that doesn't taste bitter but not too sweet with little chocolate gems of chocolate in the Ice cream. Again the portion was generous as the whole cone was filled with the ice cream. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. Prices are extremely reasonable and amazing value for money due to the quality of the food served. Fully COVID safe with hand sanitisation facilities, screened eating tables with shelter outside and generously spaced eating tables inside. Asset to the local area with a great atmosphere at the place."

"amazing eating. is exactly what they say it is very easy to say they are a smokehouse and half try it. tonight, our first time here was perfect. large bark on the meat and the spiced and prep work really shows through. I had mixed the bbq, my other half had the regal sabbat, a bark flu, and our two children had the hot dogs. my mix was perfect, big size, the pulled swarm was not too sick as it can be, the ripen oh my, the flesh falls from the bone, big aromen. the braut was soft and melted in my mouth awesome. the hot dogs where a look! beautiful snaps for them. the regal sabbath was soft and fussy and naked and perfect, the show stuffing the evening. all employees, where beautiful, our server especially. 2 extremely picky things, the parking space is too small and the ordered hot sauce was forgotten, nothing major and never annoyed the evening. I'll be back at least 5 times because I have to try it otherwise! keep them the great delicious work!"

"A very popular local restaurant situated in the Norfolk village of Ormesby. As you enter you get a lovely authentic welcome by attentative staff. The place has beautiful decor and a nice atmosphere for that family meal or romantic one to one time. The food is tasty well cooked and the portions are wholesome with the menu having lots to offer. If your eyes are bigger than your stomach you can ask to take it home with you. Staff were polite accommodating and looked after us. There is a range of deserts that look great. Kids love them but yet to try them myself. There is a small car park at the rear but limited so be aware but can park nearby on the road. The price is reasonable and worth the cost. As a venue and quality of food I reccomend it and look forward to visiting again."

"UPDATED REVIEW Gorgeous views and they keep a great pint here. More reasonably priced than the pub in the village, too. Staff are lovely, most especially Liz. Good pub grub, reasonably priced, decent portions and yum. Sunday carvery is popular and again, good solid pub grub. There 's a wheelchair ramp to get into the bar or one of the function rooms, although the turning circle is tight, especially if you 're in a powered wheelchair. The doors are glass and the doorways are standard sized, not the 1 metre required to claim wheelchair accessibility. Wheelchair access to the disabled loo, I found out, is around the outside of the building. No signposts or anything. Right in front of the disabled loo is a path of deep, deep gravel. Guess what happens when you try and take a wheelchair through deep gravel? Yep. You get stuck What 's the point of having a wheelchair accessible toilet with a moat full of gravel that PREVENTS ACCESS? I ended up grounded out, having to shout for help, in full view of a function room full of people. So excruciatingly humiliating The lack of accessible entrances and the gravel moat means I can only rate this 3 stars, which is a shame. In response to James from management 's reply, where he states we are a family run buisness (sic) and not a multimillion pound company may I remind you that if you claim to be wheelchair accessible, you have to meet certain criteria. And you unfortunately don 't. Accessibility reviewers have been asked by Google to check up on claims made by places, hence the update to my review. And whether or not you are a family run business (THATS how you spell it) or a multimillion pound company, you are bound by the same UK laws governing disabled access. And wheelchair users such as myself are 'nice ' see the positive comments above but we 're fed up of being treated like second class citizens when the law says we are EQUAL. So...YOU have a lovely (THATS how you spell it) day and try not to get so butt hurt by criticism. Parking spaces? Good sized car park, not lined out in boxes Accessible spaces? No dedicated accessible spaces, however, see last remark Wheelchair accessible? There is a ramp at the back, however the entrance is through a couple of standard sized doorways with glass doors. This doesn 't meet accessibility criteria of 1 metre width. In addition, it only gives you access to the bar and one of the function rooms. The rest of the complex is down a set of stairs. Toilets? Although I can 't comment on them, since I 'm a wheelchair user. Accessible toilets? Going to have to rate this as a no, since the whole point of accessibility is to allow you to have independence. When you place deep gravel in front of the only entrance to your disabled toilet, you are cutting off the disabled person from their independence! Pay by card? WiFi? Unknown, however I didn 't pick up any potential networks while I was there. "
