"Came in Sunday 23/02/2020 And ordered a latte and hot choc, was very quite so expected quick service. A gent came in a few minutes after and ordered a white coffee and bacon roll after us! It looked as if she started making the drinks and doing the bacon roll...we waited a while to then see she made the gent who came after us his bacon roll and coffee before ours, we questioned it but shook it off. The lady then came over with my latte then told us there was no more hot chocolate...so we ordered a tea cake (same price £2.50) to save on the hassle... She then made and brought over the tea cake, and we looked up and hot chocolate powder was on the shelf behind her, we had a giggle at her poor look. She must of noticed because she gave them a shake and left the tubs on the shelf meaning it contained hot choc"

Beautiful walk with the kids, round the trails Rewarded with quite possibly the best cafe latte I've ever drunk. And I've traveled.

After a fantastic ride with 6 adults and 9 children aged 2-8 years old, we had drinks and snacks at this cafe. The staff were helpful and the peanut butter and chocolate brownie was so good!

Had a lovely coffee after a fantastic walk along the trails. The homemade brownie was so tasty we went back the following day! Friendly staff and great place to stop. Well behaved dogs even get a biscuit (and can go inside the cafe).

Yes it was just after summer holidays but very little choice available because it was a week day and didn't want to waste it! Soup of the day sign up but no soup! Ordered a sandwich wasn't very nice. Just really disappointing, promised so much but didn't deliver. Ver carta

Super friendly staff and delicious food options!! Cornish Pasties were lovely, Cream Tea was scrumptious and the selection of cakes were heaven! Absolute great place to refuel after a good walk or activity! Already recommended to other holiday makers nearby! Would definitely visit again!

Typically a fantastic experience, but sadly today was very disappointing. Service was slow and the bacon rolls were extremely hard, not crispy as expected. Even though they were only £3, they should still be enjoyable. Drinks didn't arrive until after the rolls, despite there only being 4 other customers seated.

We ordered two cappuccinos, but they tasted more like espresso with extremely hot milk added. It seemed like the staff may not have been properly trained. In comparison to two other coffee shops I frequent, one in Launceston and the other in Wadebridge, which I would rate 10/10, I would probably give Beech Cafe a rating of 1/10. Additionally, the cafe was busy and we waited around 20 to 25 minutes for the "cappuccinos" to be served. Ver carta

A group of us popped in today after a walk on the trails. Visiting the cafe was a pleasant way end to our morning. The large glass windows give a good view out across the trees. The decor is simple but comfortable and I liked the fresh flowers on the tables. We received a friendly welcome and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere. I just had a caffe latte, which was very good. The cakes looked very tempting, but I didn't indulge on this occasion. One of our group had a toasted sandwich which came with a salad garnish and crisps which she enjoyed. I will return.

While passing through on my way to Tavistock, I decided to stop in for a coffee and a light snack at this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection offered. Despite its small appearance from the outside, they had a variety of options including sandwiches, soups, cream teas, and bacon rolls. I opted for the bacon, brie, and cranberry sandwich, which was absolutely delicious. I had it toasted, which made the brie creamy and the sandwich was generously sized. It also came with a side salad and crisps, all for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be returning in the future.

"Gidleigh Park is a country house located in a wooden wally in Devon. It is quite hard to reach the place on a very narrow road, which is very beautiful, but apparently during the winter larger cars can’t even get there. Gidleigh Park houses a two-Michelin star restaurant with Michael Caines as the main chef (the restaurant was recently voted number 1 restaurant in the UK by the Harden’s Sunday Times Food List 2014). Gidleigh Park also has bedrooms (apparently all individual in style and design) and you can stay there for the night and then wonder in the gardens of the estate, which I saw some people doing when I was there. I was visiting Devon and my boyfriend chose Gidleigh Park for lunch on a Sunday and we took the long and narrow road to Gidleigh Park. The inside of the house was very old and had a lot of charm. It had eclectic art and antiques and different style rooms, the lounge had different tables, chairs and the bar was done up in a completely different style. Gidleigh Park showcased British charm and elegance. You could chose to have their signature sample menu for £140/ person, but instead we went for the much cheaper version, their lunch set menu for £44/ person for 3 courses (you could also have 4 courses for £57). Also note choosing dishes a la carte would set you back £115, so the lunch menu seems like the cheapest way how to enjoy Gidleigh Park. We did not have any wine, but apparently thy have an amazing wine cellar. The three course lunch menu included a small appetizer, a starter and a main course and you could choose from one of the 3 starters and one of the 3 main courses. Our appetizer was “goat’s cheese foam with beetroot jelly, candied walnuts and granny smith apple”, but as my boyfriend does not like goats’ cheese he had a tuna tartar as his appetizer which actually looked better than my appetizer. I was not to"
