"We arrived at 5pm for tea and had a lovely meal, the chicken and bacon with the melt was cooked to perfection, not dried out and covered in cheese to hide the fact that it's overcooked! The ribs and chicken breast with chicken wings etc.. etc... was also great...especially when Philomena brought me 3 lemon wipes to clean up! The churros sundae was great, authentic, warm and crispy churros almost a foot long with fudge brownie, ice cream and cream, and chocolate sauce! Hubby hardly ever has a pud but the Meal Deal, and the fact it was our anniversary, made it an option, so why not...Cheesecake one night was eaten and enjoyed, but the Sticky toffee pudding and custard silenced him for a good 10 minutes! I have to say that the service was wonderful, with Philomena at tea, and the smiling young lady at breakfast, made us feel valued as guests and not an imposition, especially when even though she was busy, we were brought 2 glasses of water, ice and lemon as soon as I said I was thirsty. When we come to Cheltenham again, hopefully in April, we will be back! Maggiex"

I recently had the best rib-eye steak I've had in a long time at this restaurant. The ambiance was also wonderful! The food was simply delicious.

I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner, with a price range of £20–£30 per person. I rated the food a 4 out of 5, the service a 4 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 3 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Bacon Cheese Burger and Fries during your visit.

We had dinner on a Sunday. They ran out of the chicken dish, so we decided to try the steak instead. It was amazing! I wanted to take a picture of it, but I forgot. The food was delicious. The waitress was excellent and very friendly, giving us helpful recommendations.

Food as expected. Service excellent. The premises are looking VERY tired. The gents' toilets cleanliness was very poor. If I had used the toilets before ordering food, I would have turned around and walked out. Parking: Cross Hands, Tewkesbury Road, Cheltenham Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

Just had the worst mixed grill ever. Wrong sausages, run out of proper pork sausages but wasn't told . Manageress more bothered about talking to customers. Only good note was the lady behind bar at about 4 til 5. Lovely customer service from her. Shame I didn't get her name. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40

The staff at this restaurant are very accommodating to wheelchair users. The restaurant is accessible for wheelchairs, but unfortunately the hotel is not. The service is excellent. We had dinner here and the price per person was between £10-20. The food was rated a 4 and the service a 5, with an atmosphere rating of 4. Recommended dishes include the Fish and Chips.

The 10oz rump steak is always cooked perfectly to order and very delicious. It comes with a flat mushroom, grilled tomato, and a small salad bowl. The service is good, with attentive but not pushy staff. We are regulars now and have never had a reason to complain. The beer is also great, as we have never had a flat pint. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant had a fantastic menu with detailed options for those with celiac disease, gluten-free, and dairy-free requirements. The menu was very informative, allowing me to make a confident selection without needing to ask many questions and feel awkward. The waitress was helpful and efficient in serving our food and drinks - thank you for that. Additionally, they have a large parking selection that can accommodate every type of driver.

"The story: Two weeks prior, peeking through the restaurant window, I was intrigued to see the kitchen artizans hard at work creating sushi platters that looked vibrant but also elegant. On the 14th November at lunchtime, I was looking forward to trying Kibou as Japanese cuisine is one of my favourites. It's very hard to see the same level of unique variety that Kibou has compared to the few Japanese restaurants I am local to. We wanted to try an array of items and the mini seasonal menu had just been released in time for our visit as well. The food: The Jo Moriawase and New Style Sashimi were great introductions to the first impressions of the quality and range of the dishes available as they were the assortment dishes. Our server provided us with guidance on what we should try first on the Jo Moriawase in order to prevent ending up with eating soggy nori which we appreciated. The Black Cod Nigiri is nothing I have ever tried before so this was also an interesting experience for our tastebuds. My dad has a tough palate to appease but to my surprise, he was satisfied with the Spider Roll Temaki and Chashu Ramen (he thought the pork broth could have been less strong but nonetheless still enjoyed, not like the artificial flavourings you get in an instant ramen if you know what I mean). The Chirashizushi was great for me as I love my sashimi. I didn't realise the yellow portions were actually tamago/egg roll until I tasted it. Some sort of gastronomical wizardry? My mum really lavished the Yaki Udon textures, with the udon noodles having the right amount of nudge needed to chew and biting into the nice crispy outer layer of the tofu. My only regret is not having enough room to try the desserts. Overall, a unique adventure for the tastebuds! The price: If you are extremely budget conscious, perhaps I would not be able to recommend Kibou to you. For a family of three, we were about £40-50 per person. As of my visit, the service charge is 10%. Don't get me wrong though, I think the service charge is fair and reasonable because our experience with the staff we talked to and came by our table were lovely. The atmosphere: Family-friendly but also evening bar feel. Sakura Cherry Blossom and other Japanese-related art themes run throughout the restaurant. The service: We didn't have to wait very long to be seated or served. The waiting staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff did an amazing job with the food. Would I come again?: Yes, as a treat! Plus I want to try the dessert next time! :"
