"I met my cousin here for lunch on my first full day in Paris she had eaten here before and recommended it. We arrived early on Easter Monday and expected it to be busy but were lucky and got a table in the back. The restaurant filled up very quickly though. I decided to get the ‘carpaccio d’artichaut’ starter with some fries as my main and my cousin opted for the eggs benedict a l’italienne. The chef came out shortly afterwards to inform me that they didn’t have any artichoke carpaccio left but he could make the dish with sliced artichoke hearts instead. This was fine by me and I was quite impressed that he wanted to discuss it with me. My food was delicious and very plentiful and I thought the combination of parmesan, hazelnuts and vinaigrette was superb. My cousin also really enjoyed hers. I had already seen pictures of what I wanted as a dessert on instagram and was really looking forward to it. I chose the hot cookie with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream and my cousin opted for the french toast. Sadly I was left really disappointed, as the cookie was dry and flavourless. There were also too many nuts on the top and not enough flavour within the actual cookie itself to bring the whole dish together. I didn’t finish it. My cousin liked her French toast but it was nothing unusual and for something that is served at most restaurants in the area, I think €12 for each of our desserts was massively overpriced.I would suggest to skip the desserts from here, as there are a plethora of incredible places just a stones throw away. All in all, I would say this is a lovely place to come for brunch food but it is quite expensive in general."
