"I visited on a Wednesday with family. The food was ok but for the lack of chicken or prawns in the curries we ordered. We asked for water and were brought a bottle of opened water with a very worn Harrogate spring water cap, in my opinion tap water in a reused posh bottle. To add insult to injury we were charged £3.55 for it. When the bill arrived it was for £84 plus. The meal was only £48, they also added £7.60 service charge. I don't know where they came up with that figure. All in all very disappointed. Check your bill before paying and ask for your water unopened."

Excellent food. Really pleasant staff. Far too much food to eat in one session so taking home for another treat. We will be back.

Fabulous meal. . The Naga, Bindi Chicken and Garlic Chilli Chicken were all very good. The staff are also very nice. Strongly recommended

Best Chicken Mushroom Balti ever! Basic decor but that didn’t matter. Good friendly service. Recommend you to go whether its a takeaway, as alot of people collecting or sit in.

Was almost put off by some of the bad reviews on here but our experience was positive. Good food, discount applied to takeaway as advertised, pleasant enough service. Two happy customers. Ver carta

Although the decor and the staff were a bit tired looking, the service was excellent and the food delicious. We polished off our meals in no time at all. Note: at the time of our visit, there was no alcohol served but you could take your own. We stuck with soft drinks.

Ordered a lamb and a chicken main dish, a mushroom pilau and a garlic naan takeaway. Very little meat in both dishes, the lamb was tough and both were below average tasty. Cost £30 which I don’t mind paying if it hit the spot but it didn’t. On collection I was informed they only accept cash which I didn’t have on me hence the inconvenience of a trip to the local cash point. Why? draw your own conclusion!

My last review was that it was the best curry, we have a holiday home in Pateley so used to order often but something has changed and not for the better. Hardly any meat in the curries now, prices have gone through the roof and check your bill as it never seems to be right. They also seem to forget about the discount they advertise for takeaway orders. Such as shame but we have stopped ordering from here now and are making our own Ver carta

5 stars for service, 2.5 stars for food. Staff were very friendly, however the mains were full of onion and a little bland (we couldn’t tell which dish was suppose to be which based on flavour). The portion of chips was tiny, the naan tough and rubbery, the chicken wasn’t of great quality. We are quite spoiled for Indian food around where we live and so probably have high expectations, but this certainly didn’t live up to them, but ticked a box for a satisfactory Indian meal whilst in the area.

Such a shame, however honestly this is probably the worst Indian takeaway we have ever had and possibly the most expensive. Korma was hot and and spicy not mild and creamy, chicken pieces were few and far between, tiny little cubes of chicken, loads of sauce, couldn’t tell if it was the chicken tikka as ordered because the pieces were so small. Takeaway 4 popadoms the onion pickle was just onion really 1 korma and 1 dopiaza 1 rice 1 naan over £34 for a takeaway really !! Anyway just visiting so won’t be calling again. Person serving was nice enough though

"all those people who leave 1 star (or low star reviews) have either extremely high expectations or just have to be out to harm the call of a gem of a sandwich shop. I stopped yesterday, was late for lunch to my surprise and joy that they were still open, was a waiting queue to eat, so I might have been happy that they thought they would do 1 more order. I had the cheese-cutney sandwich couldn't resist the Scotch egg with black pudding. the Scotch egg was phenomenal, black pudding mixed with the sausage meat, a soft egg yolk practically still runny, which I really did not expect to add only to the already large aromene, the egg comes with a small pot homemade brown sauce (ketchup is an option, but I prefer brown soße) also the soße is a normal but it is a manifestation, it is a the sandwich was ineffective, thick-cut cheese on a homemade roll with homemade chutney (I suppose when everything else was made home) filled with fresh salad, I am curious what the difference between this is the ploughman’s, as it was in the round a ploughmans sandwich. the brot, cheese salad were all fresh taste amazing, the chutney transformed it, was like a cross between chutney salsa like the brown sauce was more sweet without much flavor, but really a great amount taste to what was possibly the best sandwich I had ever had! well made youngs, eating is great a try worth. reasonably also consider that it is the center of harrogate."
